There probably isn't an extra 20,000. We get over 30,000 at home with about 24,000 season cards. So each game about 6,000 (adjust for away fans) turn up with a match by match ticket. Common sense suggests it isn't the same 6,000 every week or they'd be much better off getting a season card. If each of them only goes to 1 in 4 games, then that suggests that every 4 games there's 24,000 season card holders and about 24,000 match by match attendees. Wembley comes about and everyone who normally does one in four naturally decides they want to go to Wembley. 48,000 people wanting tickets. Doubtless there'll be some for whom Wembley was their first game in years, but not many. The vast majority haven't been anywhere "when we needed them", they've been going as often as work/ finances allow them toThe irony of your answer is plain to see, Your lot will have a fantastic following at Wembley, possibly the biggest the stadium as ever seen!
Question respectfully put is where we’re those extra 20,000 when you needed them?
Probably sat in the same place as our missing 10,000.
Back in 92? ( was it92) a real good Sunderland supporting mate missed out on a ticket for the cup final v Liverpool despite him not missing a game ( Roker End regular) I truly hope none of your fully deserving fans miss out because of the sudden demand.
