How many mags will be at Wembley?

The irony of your answer is plain to see, Your lot will have a fantastic following at Wembley, possibly the biggest the stadium as ever seen!
Question respectfully put is where we’re those extra 20,000 when you needed them?
Probably sat in the same place as our missing 10,000.
Back in 92? ( was it92) a real good Sunderland supporting mate missed out on a ticket for the cup final v Liverpool despite him not missing a game ( Roker End regular) I truly hope none of your fully deserving fans miss out because of the sudden demand.
There probably isn't an extra 20,000. We get over 30,000 at home with about 24,000 season cards. So each game about 6,000 (adjust for away fans) turn up with a match by match ticket. Common sense suggests it isn't the same 6,000 every week or they'd be much better off getting a season card. If each of them only goes to 1 in 4 games, then that suggests that every 4 games there's 24,000 season card holders and about 24,000 match by match attendees. Wembley comes about and everyone who normally does one in four naturally decides they want to go to Wembley. 48,000 people wanting tickets. Doubtless there'll be some for whom Wembley was their first game in years, but not many. The vast majority haven't been anywhere "when we needed them", they've been going as often as work/ finances allow them to

Absolutely this.

The whole "where are these people every week?" thing is pathetic. Heard it online for the last few weeks.

The idea that clubs take big crowds to prestige games at Wembley is hardly a hot take. Pompey would have taken 50,000 to their Pizza cup game v Salford were it not for Covid. Wrexham took nearly 30,000 to the FA Vase game the day after us. Wycombe themselves took 4x their average crowd to Wembley. Port Vale have 25,000 tickets for the L2 Play-Off final; their average attendance is 6,000. Sunderland taking 46,000 to Wembley is actually not that unusual really, considering our peak crowd this season was 44,000.

I know people who would happily go to every home game, but have to work shifts and therefore go to the games they can, but obviously booked holidays off for Wembley. I also know people who put themselves in the shit financially this month in order to be there. I don't begrudge anyone whose work or family or financial commitments stops them from attending Morecambe on a Tuesday night from pulling out the stops to get to Wembley.

I saw a couple of lads when I was walking up Wembley Way with Wycombe tops on chanting 'Shearer Shearer Shearer'. Mind this was a good few hours before kick off when it was quiet.

A mate of mine was a Sunlun fan, got trials for Newcastle and got injured. But the way that they handled it and treated him well meant that he became a Mag. But he also wants us to do well and goes to some of the matches. He's been to Wembley before and wanted us to win. There'll be one or two there like him who don't fit in the black and white shirt variety.
I met a Mag in 1985 in London who came down with a load of his Sunlun supporting mates just for the weekend.
So my guess is that there will be a few, but not many (a handful at most ) wearing tops. They know that there will be a few of us in the WW end and these sort of people won't want to advertise it if they think that there is chance of sitting next to one of us.
I went to the Milk Cup Final with a Sunderland fan and a Skunk. The Skunk wanted us to win on the day.

He has got to be the most sly poster on here. Always acting sincere, yet always having a dig whenever possible at anything SAFC do.

there was a wycombe fan walked past us with a juventus top on, no doubt an attempt at winding folk up but was ignored.
there was also a bloke in a mag top at tibshelf services on the way back. it was chocka with us and he looked quite nervous. he didn't look like he was taking the piss, just going somewhere and didn't expect it.
Probably going for an interview in his Zebra suit

I think that Twitter post from the kid was a wind up & loads bit. You might get the odd one or two that were accidentally invited to hospitality through work, or got Wycombe supporting mates thru went with. But I honestly don’t think anyone will have travelled from the North East without any of the above type connections just to go to the match.

I like this site. I don’t come on to boast or cause issue, although I have occasionally been sucked in!
But honestly, if any of our lot go they should be ashamed and of any that do wear colours….. that’s just gross stupidity.
I think the issue is that in our time in League One here have been so many incident of Newcastle supporters coming to our ground and sitting with the away fans. Its been quite bizarre. I simply couldn't imagine any other group of fans doing this and shows a really strange type of obsession. I don't know if you can shed any light on why this has happened so many times in the last 4 years. Whether any Mags went to Wembley to sit with the Wycombe fans I am unaware of but it wouldn't surprise anyone if they did.
