If Ashley sells who will they blame then? Benitez seems to be totally beyond any criticism.
 
The best thing they could do now form their own point of view, is appoint Pulis before it gets any worse. I hope the don't mind as it would mean they have a manager who knows how to get results.
 
He probably didn't get a lot of money to spend by Premier League standards but there is no doubt that what money he was given has been spent poorly. Lejeune doesn't look good enough and the less said about Joselu the better despite his goal today. Merino is probably the lone success story assuming he can stay fit.

Usually his teams are solid defensively and they were very difficult to break down at the start of the campaign but its all gone to pot lately.

Bottom line is the squad at his disposal are just not good enough, I think managers get too much credit when things go well and too much criticism when things go poorly - if you have 11 players on the field are inferior to the opposition then more often than not you are going to get beat regardless of who is in the dugout.
