How long can Rafa last?

Rafa would have to be a failing manager to get into that competition.

Quite a few on that list succeeded in keeping their team up whereas Benitez failed.

Newcastle could be 4th bottom by Monday and a run of difficult games underway.

If they drop into the bottom 3 you'll be nowhere to be seen ...... here's hoping

Isn’t he already blaming failing on money he’s had to spend though?
The only criticism I have of him is that his pragmatic(negative) approach against the better sides is bearable but I think he should have played a lot more attack minded against Brighton/Burnley/Huddersfield/West Brom. One point from a possible 12 when a more gung ho approach could have seen six points.

He'll come under pressure once we've had our usual humpings off Chelsea/Man City/Arsenal.

The genius he is, he will be cut slack at the end of January. New owners = transfers and confidence restored. Same owner and no transfers = he walks citing the bloody obvious.

Why does anybody care?

he'll stay until he's sacked. You can tell he's comfortable now-
Very well paid- no criticism from the fans. I bet he even hopes the takeover falls through or he’d be under pressure then to take the club to the next level.
Premier League and Champions League winners? The fans don't expect less do they?

It's not so long ago that Mags, on this board, were boasting about being in 6th place with a win against the bottom team.

They will be 4th bottom this week and in a seriously bad run.

They will easily be in the bottom 3 by the end of the year.
Tidied.

Situations in football can change very quickly marra. You know that. I know that, tens of thousands of Sunderland supporters know that. Those buggers up the road will never ever grasp the concept. They do it time and again, and fall flat on their arses every time.

They come on here time and again claiming they only want a team that tries, don't have deluded expectations, etc etc etc ....

..... then, as soon as they're 'flying', they're on here with the inevitable 'normal service has been resumed' shite.

As you say they never fail to leave the laces untied on their clownshoes

:lol: It never fails to amaze me how predictable they are. You would think they might have learned some humility by now. I mean how many times would get hit in the face with a frying pan before you learned to duck.

dunno like with that lard vest he's packing he might go 3/4 months months

they are all pinning a lot a hope on staveley which i can understand.
still unclear whose wants to buy it (staveley or her backers) and how much effort they expend to get it
She's not interested man. It's just to keep her in the public eye during her Barclays related court case.

Another Friday night and here you are, on a Sunderland forum, spending your life digging about how Sunderland supporters spend their time.

Do you honestly never sit back and think before you post?

Post a better thread then, it's not a reading library ..... contribute or eat yourself.
Oooh calm down precious sorry I just thought this was a safc forum not nufc anyway I'll let you get back to your period , remember dont flush down the toilet as the pads expand

It was precisely the same negative tactics, and failure to take points from the "lesser" sides that got you relegated last time. History repeating itself but it's still Ashley's fault apparently.
