How did you react when the clocks hit midnight and a new year began? Partied? Raised a toast? Hugged a loved one?

Turned telly up to keep out BANG noises to try and help dogs stay chilled.

Normally wake up from fireworks. Slept through it all this year.

I applauded the firework display in that there London but laughed at the voiceovers.

Grumbled about the inconsiderate knackers who'd set fireworks off in the village and hoped the dog wouldn't wake up (she didn't).

Turned my phone off at 11.45

Comforted the dog. Was shitting himself once the fireworks started.

Took him out at 12.15 and went to bed.

I agree it's difficult to get extra excited over a date when you have good times throughout the year

Wife was out and I’ve been rough for a few days so I stayed in wide awake until 2am as I’d been in bed most of yesterday. Drank tea most of the night too so a dry one.
