How did Sunderland win the Play-Offs

Right then. Here it is. Too young, too naive, lacking experience they all said. Well the pundits were wrong.

They were also wrong about Sheffield United dominating the game. The first 20 minutes Sunderland were under the cosh, but slowly through a series of small tactical changes Sunderland grew into the game and ended up dominating possession and having almost as many shots and chances as the Blades. So what did the pundits miss and just how did Regis Le Bris turn the youngest team in the Football League into Championship Play-Off winners.

Well come in and take a look and do me a favour; stay 'til the end'. There's a treat to finish with. Enjoy everyone.

Great watch. Thank you.

I’m sure it’s been mentioned but but please offer your services to the club mate 👍

In the fog of the match I was a little harsh on us, I saw us getting back into the game after the changes made by both managers but I didn't foresee us being able to make a breakthrough at all. I more or less gave up hope and went and made a cup of tea.

I walked back into the living room to see Mayenda smacking the ball into the net in a slow motion replay.

After that was a blur, especially after the Watson goal, but after we equalised I looked at both teams and thought we were the only ones capable of winning it in normal time - I still thought "how the fuck did we do that?!" at the final whistle.

Thank you.

Bermp.

What do you think Le Fees best position is for us @10 Trenches Deep? Genuine question, I’m interested in your view on this?
I think he is wasted as a 10, Trenches. Deep role suits him better to dictate play and be more involved
I agree. I think his best position as a deeper midfielder. Alongside Neil as part of a double pivot will be where we play his next season I think. But who knows. In Regis I believe.

Just worry about the lack of physicality with those two as a pair, although I like them both and tenacity makes up for some of that. Hoping Nectar is actually the new Patrick Vieira
