I think you're right, mate, I don't like to slag any player SAFC player but I don't think he's good enough.

Oh, and definitely not too big for that league. 'Like anything, you have to earn the right.

He’s an absolute talent marra. Tell your chairman to buy him at once before Barca come in for him. He will be a massive loss for us.

For someone 'not good enough' he seems to have 7 goals and 3 assists; more than Leadbitter, Morgan, Power, O'Nien, Gooch, Matthews, Wyke, Grigg etc

But do carry on scapegoating the lad, he deserves it for being 'the captain' and a supporter.

Oh and he came through the academy, and SAFC is his only club, so that deserves as much bile as fans can muster too..

IIRC, we should also be ashamed of our lowest ever league performance this year - so why not point the finger at some (see above) players who have cost us a small fortune in L1 and don't really give a shit.

Matthews has more assists, so does Onien. From right back. 3 of those you mentioned have been here for half a season.

His goals mask a lot deficiencies

Dont want to criticise the lad, he works his bollox off and obviously a massive Sunderland fan who cares but the unfortunate fact is he's just not good enough.

Was offered to Carlisle a couple of years ago and now he's captain of the club, shows how far SAFC have fallen for me.

To blame the whole seasons shortcomings on him alone is over the top but you can't say he hasn't been one of worst players this season. Ross should have given up trying him as CAM after 10 games at the most.

He’s scored 6 goals 3 assists in 35 (4 as a sub)

Cattermole has 7 goals 1 assist in 29 (1 as a sub)
Mcgeady has 11 goals 5 assists in 35 (4 as a sub)
Maguire has 7 goals 5 assists in 33 (9 as a sub)
Morgan has 1 goal 4 assists in 17 (5 as a sub)
Gooch has 5 goals 8 assists in 39 (8 as a sub)
Leadbitter has 0 goals 5 assists in 15 (2 as a sub)
O’Nien has 5 goals 6 assists in 37 (13 as a sub)
Power has 4 goals 2 assists in 35 (6 as a sub)
Oviedo has 0 goals 4 assists in 23 (8 as a sub)

If you then consider how often he’s played as a 10, compared to say, Leadbitter or out wide like Morgan etc, i’d say he doesn’t come out on top against many - maybe power I guess? But again, power tends to play deeper...O’Nien has contributed at least as much from right back in fewer starts ffs.

No he hasn't. And supporting a team doesn't mean he's a good footballer or we would all be playing.

Leadbitter - here half a season and still has more assists
Morgan - here half a season
Power - has the same number assists despite playing deeper
O'nien - plays in defence and has the same number of assists
Gooch - has 1 less goal but 5 more assists despite playing less
Matthews - another defender who's hardly played
Wyke - played less than half the amount of Honeyman and has the same assists on the back of 2 bad injuries
Grigg - played even less than Wyke. Has same assists as GH

Great point other than that though. You missed off that he has more goals than McLaughlin and Ruiter combined too

He’d be able to run there as that’s all he does , don’t throw anything at him though cos he’ll swerve it and keep on running !
