Honeyman to Hull?

Not like facts like marra, last season he was a league above us. As much as you hate it its fact.

As for being smacked off tits, weren't you the one who.said "we'll piss this league" last season?

Its just very impressive to continually post so much utter f***ing tosh

Don't mind him as a squad player as he always gives 100% but making him captain meant Ross had to shoehorn him into the team whenever he was fit. Wasn't cutting it as a number 10 and Ross persisted with it limiting our tactics and formation. Good move for both parties.
Spot on and good post 👍

Nice lad. No room in team for me as I'm not sure what his best position is but maybe Hull will find out. Good luck.

Provides energy, always looking for the ball and happy to move forward. Has had some bad games for sure, but mainly gets pelters from those that don’t truely understand how the game is played imho. Local lad too. I’m a bit concerned about this, 3 days before the opener with no hope of a replacement anytime soon.

No player is indispensable for us in this league though. Agree he’s not a true No 10 as well, so hopefully if this is true that’s what we’ll invest in.

Can you imagine our attacking line-up consisting of Maguire, MacGeady, Maddison, Grigg/McNulty? We'd average 3 goals a game with that lot together.

He's never been as bad as some would have you believe, but he's no world beater. I never understood why he was made captain. He's no great leader and it made him difficult to drop. I don't wish him ill though. Hopefully, we'll get the muted £3m and he'll have a decent career. I can't say I'll be unduly concerned by him leaving.

£3m!!!! Fook off man...

So if people have a different view of him as a player they truly don’t understand how the game is played?

IMHO I think you’re talking absolute shite, he will not be missed.

Who?

Honeyman always gave 100% and chipped in with a few goals and assists. I'm not saying we will miss him but losing him and Cattermole means we are a bit weaker.
14 goals to make up from last season ,but lets not stats get in the way of a feeding frenzy.i am not a great fan of gh but goals win games

Agreed - but we had shit lazy fuckwits from abroad who have nearly killed the club and made us unwatchable at times. So to have a fella who genuinely meant it when he said he cared was a big step up for me. I was ok with that

I’m very much in the camp of championship football with try hards over premier league football with gravy train half hearters (even though they are better players)
I am not going to slate him on here cos if his effort won games we would be in the championship now but he went downhill last season. Captaincy??

If we do suddenly make 2-3 mil from an unexpected sale (we've also just sold Oviedo) that will easily meet MM's sell out clause. Now its a real possibility to land him and we can't ignore that fact.

I don’t think we sold Oviedo - all the talk was of terminating his contract. Expect pay-off was not huge as he had at least 2 decent clubs ready to take him on. So, a saving in wages but no fee.
