Honeyman to Hull?

I can see why he did it. Cattermole was possibly away, most players new to the club. He'd have been expected to be in the team most weeks and had been here for a long time.

Became an issue when he couldn't perform in the no 10 role. Taking it off him would have been a bad move also for morale etc.
Should have changed the formation. It was obvious that 4-2-3-1 didn’t work - and not just with Honeyman playing in that role, either. The team shape certainly didn’t help Honeyman perform in particular, though.

people keep deflecting it by saying it must be a mag..it isnt..the language used about the owners on here..people calling them spivs chancers, sayi hey arebleeding us dry, potless, etc is just one step behind actual threats...the owners have been defaned a million times (ertain individuals on here evne tried go suggest SD had made up the threats) so its definitely likel its an safc fan moron..the person who threatened him has an safc badge in their profile..
Your insinuation that I would be capable of making threats against our owners because I choose to disbelieve all of their spin and waffle paints you as an apologist for them. You should apologise to every Sunderland supporter you are tarnishing with your incorrect opinion.

Am i the only one thats slightly dissapointed by this?
No. I really wanted to like Honeyman as a player because he gives his all and is a likeable lad.Listen to what Bally says about him and its clear he is respected by people that matter. However, I think for all his energy and endeavour, he didn't consistently produce enough. That's no justification though for the vitriolic slagging off he has received from some quarters. He wasn't the best player but he was far from the worst; he cared and worked his balls off.
Good luck George.I hope we will be stronger without him but we will have to wait and see.

Why is it that those that are most vocal in their criticism of just about everything and everyone are always those that are most sensitive to anything even slightly critical being said about the fans?

As a group we can be such a precious bunch.

Don't know if you are talking about the same person but the poster I'm referring to is deliberately abusive on every thread. It's not about being critical of fans or not. It's about having the decency and respect not to insult people. It's playground stuff. Some people are incapable of having any sort of debate about anything at all without having to resort to unnecessary insults.

everyone being entitled to an opinion means everyone's opinion can be criticised. there's some vitriolic negativity around which if it was allowed to take root in the real world would totally sour the atmosphere and undermine the team. Theres always been people in the crowd who love a bloody good moan. Thats not criticising fans its the truth and anyone who says otherwise has never been to a match.
Fortunately the match day experience is a lot better than venturing onto the inter web where in all spheres trolls lurk round every corner slavering with negative comments.

Not having someone label fans of our club cowards and chickens like.

Not on.

Also, he isn't balanced. Optimism is fine but sheer blind loyality without being able to debate negatives is not a sign of a good poster.
Yes, I agree - calling our fans that is not on but the point he made about boo boys, of which Honeyman was the latest in a long, long line is spot on.

Are these new comments or from yesterday? Can understand why people thought Ross didn't know/didn't have a choice from that.

“I’m sensible enough to understand that we have to balance the club,” he stressed. “It can’t all just work one way as a manager. You can’t just get your wish when you want to recruit and then not be happy when you have to lose players

What's this about his contract as well? I though he already had a year extention written into his contract anyway?

“We had a situation with George last year that probably wasn’t healthy in terms of the contract being allowed to run down to its last six months.

Shoe Horning him into the side was a major mistake

It was one of many mistakes, not the main one though. there's any number of mistakes that had they been rectified could have saved us / earned us goals, which in turn could have won us promotion because the margins were that fine. that was just one of them.

there was also absolutely no improvement when honeyman was out. in fact many were saying we missed his energy as out form was dog shit anyway.
