Hemir

Physically you could say he has the size and physique to compete over here. In terms of the way he actually plays the physical side and workrate looks alien to him though- at times he looks completely lost.

Technically from what I've seen he looks to have something. He needs to compete more though and earn the right to play and fight for the time and space on the ball - so far that's been lacking.
If we do sign Mendy, he’s very experienced and seemingly has the right attitude. It would be a nice bonus if he can lead by example with Hemir and penny drops that you have to actually work at it.

Yeah I've said earlier today that hopefully the club and fans have realised whilst signing young kids to develop is the right thing for us. Both on and off the pitch you need experience, quality and strength to help bring lads like Mayenda and Hemir on and take the pressure off (in terms of the striker situation) so at 19/20 these lads don't have the expectation and pressure of leading the line.

One wonder goal in a training exercise wont bluff me. Hes not ready in a month of Sundays and needs loaning out to play games and develop
i really cant see him develop as for his size he will not go up for headers with defenders around him ,if he wont do it now will he ever....

When did we see excellent hold up play and hell of shit based on this goal his first with his feet for us I think

He had good hold up play yesterday and in the preseason match against Spanish opposition last year (or Portuguese I can't remember who it was) at the stadium. He's yet proven he can do the same against English centre halves.

On this basis I would give him a new contract. He just needs to know we have confidence in him.

His body is 6ft 3 but his mind is still 5 ft 4. Takes big lads longer to make it in the game I reckon, working out how to best use your size. Needs a Quinny equivalent to teach him the tricks. Still think he could come good if he wants it

Indeed, needs to join up a few more synapses, rid himself of the odd clumsy gauche adolescent miss controls. He's a big baby. :)

The excellent hold up play, as I said in my previous message, was in very brief moments.

Specifically, I recall a few times that he held off his defender and brought the ball down superbly before laying it off to a team mate. It didn't happen often enough, but it was clear and notable at the time.

The "hell of a shot", again as stated in previous message was based on his YouTube clips before he signed. We certainly didn't see much of it at all last season, but he's a bairn and he certainly showed it on Sunday.

Specifically:

That left foot curler in there is an excellent finish too. If you watch the full video, you might even spot some examples of good hold up play.

Nobody has said that he was good last season, I don't think anybody is even saying that he is going to make it here, but for a young lad in a foreign country in his first season of adult football, he has shown enough glimpses to warrant a bit more patience. Those saying we should be loaning him out to a Sunday league team etc are pathetic.

Hemir scored a few in pre season last year, which led to me putting a bet on him being top scorer in the league. I had to look at it every time I logged into bet365 all season. I'm not falling for it again this year 😂

I did the same, thought I’d got a cracking price 😂

Just thinking about his role at the club and development as a player.

I'd have him out on loan abroad. A place where he can play 30+ games.

I've been considering his position and I think we have it wrong. I think he's better suited to play behind a front man. He hasn't the instincts to play up top but he does have a bit skill and decent ability to bring people into play.

His skill, ability and talent aren't what's holding him back. His attitude is shocking and he never breaks sweat in any game i've seen him play from pre-season to first team to under 21 football.

Is that not because he isn't suited to playing there?

He most certainly does not have the ability to play as a 10 like now come
On 😂😂😂😂

Same shite was spouted about gelhardt aswell needing a proper striker to play off.

Hemir is not a good footballer. Has shown nothing to suggest he’s one either
