Help me plan a day in Sunderland

Finally made it to a match!

Left the house at 07.30, made it to Sunderland by just after 12.30. Fed the kids at Greggs in the Bridges then walked across to the Foundation for a spin of the wheel (they won a sticker album), bought them some sweets and a programme and onto the stadium.

Right result. Then the drive back, arriving home just before midnight. Trouble is, they said they enjoyed it - so might have to do it again

Was knackered all day Sunday.

I parked near there today and popped in for a quick drink… it’s a very interesting pub. That area around the river has a lot of history.

The irony is that a teenager would learn more from a few hours in a pub than a lot of the school lessons.

E.g. values, politics, even business studies. Maths skills are needed to play darts etc.

You can tell the poster hasn't been in a pub for years! Take Keel Tavern or 3 Stories for example, always has kids and families in during the day. The Sheepfolds would be knackered if families couldn't take their kids in!
