He's 24 in a few weeks time since is hardly an up and coming youngster. I don't think I've seen hype like this since Adam Wharton

Hackney is more rounded and technically profitiant as a player imo. Looks good every time I see him and played well under Carsley in the U21s which is usually a good indicator of a good player.

Obviously, this still doesn't mean he'll adapt to the PL as it's a big step up. I'd take a chance on him for under 20M though.

Yeah sorry I can’t get on that, Jobe is better. He’s already achieved far more and is 4 years younger.

I feel he was the better player in the championship and for England U21s. Hard to compare this season as they have played in different leagues.

Next year we'll see how Hackney steps up and if jobe can improve and expand his game.

By the age of 20 Hayden Hackney made 1 first team appearance at championship level.

By the same age Jobe had played 110 championship games, 34 bundesliga games, 10 champions league games and 4 world club cup games.

Comparing apples to oranges. Jobe is levels above.

Progression is not linear though and I feel Hackney has showed more to his game when they played at the same level. Jobe is of course younger and currently playing at a higher level and can develop his game but imo he is more limited as a player than Hackney.

It will be interesting to see how both develop next season.

It’s funny as jobe scored more and had more assists then Hackney did over the 2 seasons they played in the same league. And he made more appearances, and he was 3 years younger.

I’m not sure how you can say he showed more.
 
Dan Neil pissed all over him every time. Says everything.
Carrick will sign him and once again flop like he did at Boro wasting millions on bang average players.
