Has short sold on his club debt

So we took out a loan and Short has put his own money in. Well not as much people on here say he has? So the club is paying back the loan from the money we make.

Short is a f***ing wanker.

At 8.5% interest per year. Will be paying back about £10m this year in interest payments alone.

Which he is totally and legally entitled to do.
People can bleat all they like but after drumaville ran off leaving a mountain of debt they couldnt afford to pay, we were goosed.
We wer headed the way of leeds , pompey etc.
Instead we have remained in pl due entirely to his generosity and largesse.
Having pin head managers at the helm is his problem but he has supported them all over and above what could reasonably be expected.
Unfortunately he has gone and hired another prize pinhead.
Dont blame him for wanting out.
He has already in essence written off over 60m from the keane profligacy by capitalizing the debt into shares.
He'll never get that back as right now moyes is making the club a bigger basket case than it was .
If bsa ( a proper manager ) had remained short probably would have got his money back.
Moyes the magician of misery and managerial mayhem has ruined that.

Weird how you blame Drummaville for debt when it was less than £50m under them and is now in excess of £170m.

Who knows the secret black arts of high finance?
Theres tax implications etc. Not like us with a savings account for the holidays and new car.

Elaborate?

I've yet to see any of the accountants and commentators when doing analyses of our finances say other than "oh shit, that looks bad". I've yet to see someone suggest why us paying £7m interest last year is actually a form of nifty clever accounting. But clearly you know something we don't so explain.

Who do you think you are?......the fart?

No, just want you to explain what you meant by that as I hadn't seen anyone so far try and suggest that our debt with a third party was due to "tax implications".

Wasn't meaning to be aggressive, I was genuinely curious why you thought SAFC racking up £100m debt with a third party would be advantageous for "tax implications" rather than the loan coming from Ellisezer.

Short is a vulture. He made his money buy stressed companies for nothing and sells them on for millions. The Koreans had an arrest warrant out for him over the way he bought and sold the banks over there. In any other work of life you'd call this man scum.

Moyes is doing a bad job like he did with his last 2 jobs. But who appointed him? You can add Moyes to the list of incompetent fools that Short has appointed to the club.

There's dozens of problems at the club and everyone of them is linked to Short.

Indeed.

Of course, interest is an allowable deduction for your corporation tax bill - but to say it is for tax purposes is wrong.

1) the club seem to actually require this financing to operate. Evidenced by part of it being used to pay off a bank overdraft (it says so in the published accounts that you can view on Companies House).....

2) i'd be surprised if the club are actually paying tax in the first place. Given the losses that have been made year on year, they are probably carrying forward tens of millions of losses to relieve against any future profits.

Not enough anti Short chants at the matches.

He has destroyed the club, causing long term damage because of the crippling debts. The debt will handicap us to such an extent that it's going to be virtually impossible to compete in the top level for the foreseeable future. It'll be very difficult to get out of the championship, being outspent by well ran smaller clubs.

He shouldn't be able to watch a game at the SOL for the fear of the abuse he will rightly get.

Generosity?

In what bloody planet is the owner merely running his football club classed as 'generosity'?

That's without considering how he has us on the brink of financial Armageddon and likely 10 or 20 years at the behest of a bunch of shady finance companies who now all but own us.

You're thick as pig shit you like. You can't even type in sentences.
