Hartlepool United

Well thought of at Rotherham & Huddersfield. Not sure what type of football he likes his teams to play but I’m hoping to see a more attack minded outlook. Welcome to the club Lee & good luck.

Chris Beech appointed Head of Recruitment. I thought that was what Bromby & Partners were hired to do.

Gary Liddle keeps his job. Hope Lennie is out.

I was initially underwhelmed when I heard him linked with pools, but having a mooch around online Rotherham supporters liked what he was doing there, and wanted to keep him for next season. They were largely supportive of him, which gives me hope. We are awaiting a decision on a new coach which sounds like it will be Steve Agnew. I'm quietly optimistic, but I always am

Happy with 1 win and 5 points in 9 games

Im puzzled that Agnew's name is rumoured to be linked to us.

He joined Salford in February and if Salford win this play-off he will be a League One coach. Seems odd that he would leave them to go down to National League level.

Also he was Martin Scott's no2 when he was manager here. That didn't end well.

Was only supposed to come in if Cattermole got the job I'd heard, but aye you are right, I had no idea he was at Salford until last week
Sinclair signed a pre contract with Livingston

I posted on another NL teams forum that it was rumoured that Pools budget may be in the region of £2m-£2.5m & someone responded that a £2.5m budget MAY get us a playoff place. Am I missing something here? £2.5m seems to me a nice chunk of change to build a decent squad & bench.

Lee Clark, Lee Cattermole, Graeme Lee, Rustie Lee, and Spike Lee. . .

Jerry Lee Lewis, was apparently headhunted to take charge at the Vic, but the plug was pulled on that idea, last week, on the account that he died 4 years ago.

I've heard a few rumours regarding budgets. I was told £2.7m a few weeks back, and was talking to someone yesterday who I don't regard as a bullshitter who was told by a reliable source that the budget is "IOR plus".
Yeah, sounds a very decent budget to me, sounds like we should be definitely getting into the play offs rather than MAY.

Pools have launched a fans survey. They want to hear our views on the club.

Always thought we should have a more formal arrangement with Pools as a place to get our academy players a full season of first team football. 5 or so of our players in their team every season could really help them get back to L2 or even L1 status in time.
Could even invest in their training facilities so our players have more chance to progress, and even have academy coaches embedded with them.

I know that means "feeder club" but so what? Pools have been on their arse for years, at least this way helps them rebuild.

What's the crack re Pools and the rec ?
Not sure mate, maybe it’s a long process trying to get these things done. If it goes ahead it will be a serious statement of intent from LS. Since the club have recently announced that they are investing in the youth academy a new facility (the Rec) would be ideal, there’s plenty of room on the Rec for a number of pitches & other facilities.
