Hartlepool United

Yeah terrible.

A few of these players need ditching along with Featherstone. His tactics are all wrong. Is he too attached to the players i wonder?
He's not the man to take Pools forward they both need to go. Absolutely embarrassing again how he set us up, he only knows one way and he's clearly sticking with it. I'd happily see them both sacked tomorrow. Embarrassing today how poor it was

Good crowd that for a national league game all things considered. Mid January game, clubs been struggling for a few years. Fair play to the fans.
Just goes to show one man has kept a lot of people away. The fans at Pools don't ask for much & if they seem some ambition & desire they'll be on the terraces. Hopefully get a good crowd on Tuesday. Extra 2000 there today probably put £30000-£40000 on gate receipts

We need more than 2 little boys to make this team any good! It only took 10 minutes for the team to kill the mood in the ground, awful football, PTID.
Yeah it was very noticeable. Just a rotten style of football. Same setup up every game. Had it not been for the new ownership I'd have likely given Tuesday night a miss. It's bloody awful to watch. Feel sorry for Reid.

You’re not wrong mate, it’s a terrible style of playing football. I honestly don’t know why he persists with the same players and tactics. Campbell’s first 4 passes went to an Altrincham player or out of touch. He took a free kick which almost hit the mural in the Rink End, 2 defensive midfielders at home against a team that has now lost 7 games in a row. Every Poolie must be tired of watching crap every game! PTID

Yes, he seems to have more of an impact when he comes on as a sub. Mind, he put a point blank header over the bar when it seemed easier to score.

Despite everything yesterday, we got a result and are just outside the play offs.

We knew new ownership would not bring a quick fix. I hear and read fans comments that we should just write off this season and start again next season.

Absolutely not. We still have an outside chance of getting back in the league so writing anything off just isn't an option. However change starts now and we need to find one or more of a new manager, system and players.

Landon hasn't bought this club to see mediocrity. If Featherstone thinks he can get us into the league then he needs to stop being stubborn and make changes. Personally I dont think he has a clue.

Wonder if Darrell Clarke fancies a crack at Management of Hartlepools United? 😎

2 points away from the play offs but Southend have 3 games in hand so need a bit of luck and some monumental Football to even reach them which ain't gonna happen under these two in charge and with these mercenaries but hope for next Season.

Ha'way the Lads and Up the Pools!!!

It's evident he only knows 1 way of playing, and it's very much like how he was as a player, slow, negative, lack of urgency. Campbell has been a complete waste of money but what made me laugh yesterday was whenever they had a free kick, we would have a 1 man wall of Campbell who is about 3 foot tall, get him on the half way line ffs. It's horrendous to watch and fans will soon get sick of it, I have noticed more people are picking up on it on social media. These 2 aren't the right people to take the club forward

I'll pop down Tuesday night.

Up the Pools.

Essentially need better players. But they don't grow on trees, Landon needs to get his cheque book out, sharpish for this season.

Positive signs though. 👍👍

Certainly more quality would help but playing 6 defensive players at home and clearly holding Miley back, extra quality won't make much difference when the striker is so isolated up front on his own in this division. There is genuine potential at the football club, and fans just want to see some ambition/positivity and they'll turn up no problem. Extra 2000 yesterday will be around £40000 which would help pay extra wages, however fans will soon get turned off if this system continues as it's killed the feel good factor very quickly yesterday. A new manager for me is the priority.

Couldn't agree more.

Featherstone surely is on trial now ... Landon has bought into the clubs' potential.
Can Featherstone get the club into the play-off positions? Can he sustain it and be successful?

He has a chance? How much of a chance - is he good enough to do it?
Landon will have a good look in the remaining games to see how his manager manages the job- how he performs.
So the remainder of the season can't be written off... they are not going to be relegated but how much potential has Featherstone?

He made his money renting out accommodation to college students apparently in Minnesota although he was born & raised on an Iowan farm. To my way of thinking, his upbringing is reflected in the way he comes across in interviews, humble, hard working, not flash, someone whose word is his bond. I hope this is the case going forward.
