Hartlepool United

Well they scored their goal! But guess who let me down ffs @Swindon On Tour
I was under the impression that Crewe had loads of injuries and were shite. Yet Swindon could score against them at home 🤣🤣

Sorry mate, Crewe were shite, we were clueless.
No excuses had enough to win, daft penalty to give away. The time wasting was bloody frustrating. Worst performance of the season.

The owner has just opened a nursing home in the town. My mate worked on it and met the owner several times. He said if the owner could save three pounds or get three points he’d save three pounds 😳

Ultimately the last 12 months have been a disgrace. Singh got lucky with Challinor as his budget was average at best in the national league, it was astounding to get promotion. Started well last season with Challinor and basically didn't build on it and it's clearly evident now why Challinor left. Lee was then appointed after several turned down the job, it was all very much penny pinching, cheap, nastiness and results in the last 15 league games or so were alarming.

Fast forward to the summer, Lee was sacked at the end of the season and it took them ages to appoint Paul Hartley. It's since been established that Raj Singh hadn't even heard of Paul Hartley (confirmed in the programme notes) and one of the other board members were recommended Hartley after allegedly been turned down for their first choice up in Scotland. By this time several players out of contract had left and the squad was wafer thing heading into pre season where the club had to cancel a friendly due to lack of numbers. It's now evident summer business was poor, and we only had 3 centre backs on the books to start the season. Hartley then sacked and Curle has inherited an absolute mess. Maguire signed and nowhere to be seen, even Curle a week or so into the job admitted he was confused and didn't know what was happening. Currently don't have a physio, which is several since Challinor left. Ultimately the chairman has gambled with penny pinching, lost some good players in the summer. His side kick CEO is an absolute embarrassment, promising all kinds/raising standards in the summer and basically delivering sod all. They'll go down, the football is appalling. The falling out/failed promises with Challinor was a massive mistake.

Is this the curse of raj Singh striking again? Darlo fans I know back home absolutely despise him for effectively killing their former club.

You've almost gotta respect the level of ignorance and arrogance he has trying to buy back into Darlington a second time after they'd made their way back up to the Conference North after everything he did in the past to actually kill the football club.

Bloke's an arsehole. Trying to paint Challinor as the bad guy last year summed him up really.

Pretty certain they don’t have a physio either so Barrow’s physio is treating both sets of players.
So I’ve heard. That’s gotta be a points deduction. Cheating. If every other club is prepared to spend it’s money on keeping its property fit n healthy why should they get away with not doing similar? PFA need to step in and protect its members here.

I think Challinor could have handled things better, but ultimately the reasons he left turned out to be true. It was absolutely remarkable he got Pools promoted to be honest, he deserved more respect and backing once in the football league.

I have mates who are season ticket holders. They all say the same thing…….. They’re going down.

Yup me and my Dad got our season tickets back out this season. Dad wasn't well last season, so we didn't attend much and didn't have season tickets. Have to be honest I've lost a lot of enjoyment for football as a whole which I've said many times on here, but thought because Dad wanted to go, I'd get one, but the best part of the day is the drinks and craic in The Raglan before the game.

Currently 4/6 to be relegated.
Thanks, so no financial input.
Give him his due, he is passionate.

He put some money in, not sure how much

He's something else. On course to have ruined two great clubs from the area.

York city are another team who seem to have taken on a total chancer of an owner.
