Harry Kane

some indiivual awards are better than some team awards..some team awards better than indiivdual.
Kevin Phiullips won the European golden boot while an Sfc PLAYER. He also won the league cup with Birmingham-which do you think matters more to him? Do you think any of his birmingham team mates would choose the league cup over the european golden boot.
SFC?

Just read the thread again that i quoted.
You're making the same idiotic points now as you did then. I can't be arsed repeating myself. My rebuttals will be the same so just read the one i wrote in May.

The league cup. It's the only trophy he won.

Sfc 🤪🤪
The european golden boot is a trophy.
But your knowldege is shot anyway. Kevin Phillips won the championship with both leicester and West Brom, and he won the First division with a club called sunderland, you might have heard of them? So the league cup is not only not the only trophy he won..its about the least consequential of the ones he won

Honestly, the league cup is the least consequential? Winning the second division vs winning the league cup? The second division is just a means to an end.
Any fan of any club in the country and any player would choose winning the league cup over winning promotion as champions from the second division.

In 99/00 when Phillips won the golden boot and Sunderland finished 7th, you think he'd have preferred that individual honour over the league cup that season?
It would mean Sunderland have won a cup and qualified for Europe. But aye Kevin Phillips would've been thinking fuck the lot of yas, I want the golden boot, me me me

Playing catch up mate what’s the debate about?

Good job pens were invented
shearer took penalties as well. So did Rooney. Thats the player he will over take,
so does haaland., the player who may overtake Kane in time
A few stats.

Shearer scored 56 pennas outta his 67 (21.5% of his PL goals or 1 in 4.65 games), Kane has 29 goals from 33 pennas (15.3% of his PL goals or 1 in 6.67 games)

Kane has now scored 100 of his 190 goals away from home (52.6%), which is also the most, Shearer was 87 (33.5%).

If you scroll back to the post where I've linked to a thread about Mark Noble you will see better.
Basically Kildaire counts individual awards as Trophies. Golden boot, player of the year, that sort of thing. Individual accolades are good achievements, and to be respected but he puts them on the same level as winning actual trophies.
Kane for example hasn't won a trophy with spurs. Kildaire says he has 3.

Etc

Alright Mr X?
I like your research because you normally look at the same data that interests me, but find and present it better than i could .

The Kane away goals thing is interesting, because I'm wondering if there's any correlation with standardizing of pitches and quality of pitches.
Other top scorers, lampard, henry, rooney, cole, Aguero, do the ones who've played more recently have a higher number of away goals? Could that also be down to rule changing to protect forward players over the years? Often get a homer ref who'd let defenders get away with more.

Might just be all bollocks and Kane is just ridiculously consistent like but interesting nonetheless

56 out of 67 man that’s a proper German record that

Possible other contributor would be the dominance of the big six. Gulf between teams now is greater than it was.
The top sides win more often home and away, less "tough place to go" situations due to overall difference in quality between sides.
Borne out by the number of points required to win the league or finish top 4 vs 20 years ago. Top sides get more points now than they used to

harry kane has won lots of silverware..the follwoing are the literal trophies he has won in his career:

Premier league golden boot x3
World Cup golden boot x 1

all are better to win than an FA Cup or league cup
Christ alive, personal accolades are not silverware or trophies. Football is a team game. I also wholeheartedly disagree that people would rather win them than major TROPHIES such as the league cup, unless of course they are very self centred.
