that two world class batsman have made it look easy whereas the rest on both sides have struggled.

11 batsman are a far better indiction of what a wicket is like than 2 (one of which has arguably been Englands best one day batsman for the last 5 years until recently)

Even with Hampshire playing almost a 2nd XI he still couldn't bring himself to predict a Durham win. :mad: He's just got one of those faces I would never tire of punching.

In fairness to Muchall not only is he the top scorer in the country with the highest average in the country in this competition he has also scored his runs at a fair lick. I agree with you his innings wasnt at all bad tonight - we had lost wickets in a hurry and him and Breese scored their partnership at more than a run a ball ensuring we got a total that wouldnt be beaten.
 
Did the rain come when Durham had had 34 overs or earlier?

Yeah he did - he came in at a time where we lost both Colly and DiVenuto and shortly after Blackwell and Benks so he started cautiously and then the rain came. He was struggling a bit and ended up looking to give Breese the strike who was in better nick - he also had to come back after a rain break.
 
i know it was a virtual reserve hampshire side last night, but it showed that our 3 spinners, are useful in those conditions at the rose bowl

yes they are ranked higher but you never know on the night, with T20 and if stokes is fit, to come in, i think durham have a decent chance of winning down there

Adams, Cork, Dawson, Carberry, Ervine are hardly reserves :lol:

The hardest bit will be knowing what a good score is. Our big guns simply have to come off ie, Colly, Benks and even MDV if he plays)
