In a very cruel way, it was enjoyable to hear the despair, then hope, then misery in Paul Allott's voice.

Guessing he bowls a nagging length at not a lot of pace these days. Type you can get away with up front but not at the end of an innings. A bit like bowling a leg spinner for his first over in the 19th over of a match....
