But I was wondering why he (the player with International and IPL T20 experience, the most experienced, and the player whose taken the role in the IPL and for England) didn't bowl at the the death when there two inexperienced quicks nearly blew it.

Most the matches ive seen he always bowls his four overs at the start. Wood is a decent death bowler but that Tanvir looks a bit ropey to say the least.
