It's rife around here. If you've got a good bike and leave it out in public enough it'll be stolen before long. Doesn't matter what you spend on locks, if they want it they'll have it.

I know I’m thinking of getting a new bike in the next couple of years for my long rides and commuting, on long rides, I’m never leaving the bike and at work there are secure indoor cycle sheds, so it should be safe. If I do, I’ll probably keep my current bike as a go to the pub/shops bike just for that reason. It probably is not worth the time to steel it at the moment.

Had mine nicked off the railings outside a pub in Stokey about 4 years ago. Jokes on them as I only paid £30 for it and it was a piece of shite.

Shame the vermin weren’t under a lorry around the corner. Obviously would have been traumatic for the lorry driver however better for the wider community. Let’s hope a severe accident is imminent.
