Perspective needed. It's the same manager and the same set of players who have performing ok so far this season....

Perspective is needed on seeing others perspective being thrown out the window after getting beat 8-0.

You seem to be pushing very hard that Congo is responsible for the players he recruited when there are many quotes and facts that suggest otherwise.

Think it is time for that stance to be taken though. If he wants to relinquish responsibility for the squad at his disposal, he should allow the DOF to do his stuff rather than spit his dummy out every 5 minutes and sign all his mates from Brighton.

Can anyone translate?

Perspective is needed in seeing why some people are upset at being beaten 8-0.

This board really is bi f***ing polar.

We win - everything is wonderful. All hail Gus the magician
We lose - everything is terrible, gus is a talentless, gutless moron who should be executed immediately

f***ing grow up man
We didn't just lose though.

But that is the essence of being a football fan surely? Yesterday was as bad a defeat as in our history so it's bound to piss people off more than usual

None more bi-polar than Gus himself. Beat Stoke and they're finally his team and accepting his methods. Biggest defeat in SAFCs history? "Well dinnit blame me, man. I nivver bought the *****"

So how is it we are in the premier league then?
Well let's face it we are more than a tad fortunate still to be in it aren't we? You could flip it around and say with 7 seasons worth of tv money behind us why are we fighting relegation every season and struggling to pay off our debt, averaging a manager a season while similar size clubs like Southampton, Swansea, stoke and west ham thrive? I'd say it's because they are run from the top by people who know what they are doing. Just my opinion like.

"I'm a head coach, I don't make the squad...I've got four defenders, I play what I got...I'm not going to take responsibility that isn't mine"

At least he hasn't slagged the players he does have, he's simply saying he needed more defenders and he didn't get them - implying he played players who aren't fit. Perfectly reasonable, even if he is having a go at Short.

But he never said that, he was pointing out that he didn't have enough defenders, not blaming the ones he does have.

Any team outside the top 7 is at threat of relegation, regardless of how long they've been in the league. Its just the way it is. West Ham havent thrived, theyve been relegated several times in the last decade, and more recently than us. At this moment in time they are doing better but it can change quickly.

They have only been back up a couple of seasons yet outperform us in the most recent transfer window as did pretty much every club. Hull city another case in point. We had a real opportunity this summer after the miraculous escape. If the board didn't take last season as a warning sign and put the money up for some genuine quality which we 100% needed, but didn't bring in, then they never will. The recruitment policy at SAFC is a shambles. They hide behind FFP when really they just don't want to spend. The result was there for all to see yesterday. good investment eight - no investment zero

No we're not.
The TV money was used up with wages and fees for the players.
We're not struggling to pay off debt.
We've had consecutive seasons in the top flight, longer than any of those clubs.

If we are being caned by a side that lost a good number of it's star players, and it's manager, the last thing we need is in fighting.

The usual shower of shit, what did he actually say?

The debt is serviced. I've seen no evidence to prove otherwise. Obviously funds are still limited by other factors.
