I don't know if this helps, but I went to Cyprus for the first time recently and was delighted to find they drive on the correct side of the road; they use three-pin plugs; all the signs are in English and everybody speaks it too.
Stayed up in the hills for a few days, then down to stay with a mate near Paphos. There's a bit that is all bars and tat, but 10k up the coast is Coral Bay, which is really laid back. Magnificent restaurants if you know where to look.

Couldn't get in! Drove to the Keri Sundown Taverna instead. Lovely views but the service and food were nowt to write home about at all despite 4.5 reviews.If you want somewhere lovely for food and drink... Keri lighthouse is well worth a visit. Stunning views. Have a great holiday
Basically didn't have enough staff and staff a bit stressed. Forgot my wife's wine and then had to ask twice for ice too. Got the starters OK but meatballs and olives both dry. It was well over an hour for the main courses to arrive.

Ah man that's such a shame mate. Never been to the taverna. What a bugger. The weather has been great hasn't it? My trainee at work is there at the moment and says it's lovely and warm.
Sweltering to be honest. Late 30's until the last couple of days. We actually saw some cloud today but still mid 30's. My wife has been off colour yesterday and tonight due to the heat.

I fly next Wednesday and I’m praying the temperatures drop as I think my Mam and my little boy will struggle with the heat.
All you can do is drink loads and go in the pool. Unfortunately the little pool we have taken to sitting next to gets quite warm!

Dare say it’s slightly cooler today maybe helped by a slight breeze, but that’s not saying much as it’s still red hot by anyone’s standards. There was a storm this morning but I missed it because it was before we woke up, but all round the pool and our balcony were damp when we got up off the rain. The temperatures for the end of the week look like ramping right back up again but I’m hoping it’ll be breezy so it at least feels cooler and as long as you keep hydrated, have sensible amounts of time in the shade and keep sun creamed up you should be okay.

You can hop on the ferryboat to Zante(Zakynthos) which is also a lovely place if you steer clear of Laganas (Party Strip)
