the point is that for certain 80's athletes you have either positive tests, covered up tests, links to dodgy doctors, etc

eg

Coe - Dr Conconi was his physician, he was known as the father of blood doping
Wells - team mates said he was taking drugs
Lewis - had numerous doping tests covered up by the IAAF and US track and field
anyone in the 100m final at Seoul

Daley Thompson - nothing, zilch, nada

its right to be cynical, but exceptional performance does'nt always mean drugs - someone has to be the best
