I absolutely LOVE what he said post match.....

If they wont run and graft I will replace them.....

Thats my boy...thats what we want to hear, and he clearly meant it.

Grays:cool:n in.

Although i like what he says, when you are the budget that we are on, what do you replace them with? If it happens after the transfer window, how do you replace them?

Yes great management when the players are content to sit on the bench, pick up their wages and contribute nothing.

It's not a simple as just replacing players. He has to manage these different personalties.

Same team next time out. You watch.
This!

Whilst I'm backing the manager like I've done every manager we've had I'm bored of the constant bullshit they bang out. They come in and give it the big if there not going to play for the badge and don't want to be here they won't be selected yet he selects players who have in the past refused to play for us and have even come out and said they want to leave.

Glad he noticed the same issues at Bury. The fact he recognises the issue is a very good thing and he's open about it. Question is... can he resolve it ? Only time will tell

Every manager for the past 6 years has said the same.

This bloke will be different.Hes been a Peter Reid type at every club as is well known. The others havent.....
He will do what he says he will do,bookmark this.
Add to that competitive matches are his way of finding out who is up for it.
Its way too early to get the knives in.

3-0 defeat to them with that team man. Expect kone and Lens to leave. So that’ll be 8-0 to Derby
So would you rather he saw that crap now, or during the first league game?

He is preparing a squad with a number of lazy twas who he MAY be able to turn back into footballer's. Or not. That is what the prep games are for.

Listen to what he says. His comment about the second half and commitment was VERY significant.

One thing is certain. Hysterical nonsense like your outburst is unhelpful.

Exactly so. No need for mass hysteria yet.

I fully agree mate.

Have a listen to his post match interview he's not said anything on there which wasn't said a thousand times last season on here.
He's got a culture of failure, lack of effort and plain unprofessionalism at times to put right which won't happen overnight.
In a way I'm pleased it happened today so Grayson can identify those that are the problem and if needed ship them out.
Agreed

Ffs a pre season defeat and suddenly all the optimism that was building up gone in a flash.

Last season we were a poor championship side at best......we've added a cpl of kids and mcgeady,we were never going to challenge the top end of the table.
Short is never going to splash the cash again, and is desparate to sell.

At least 4/5 seasons in this league if we are lucky.

After the pure mess Moyes left and the lack of any money it was obvious to all but the dull minded that this was going to be a hard struggle of a season ,whoever was manager.

Mid table is the best we can reasonably aspire to and anything else is a bonus given the rebuilding job required.

I personally did not want him at all. I really do not know why we never went with Pearson.

But let's get behind him and give him a chance. I am convinced he will do some good.

It is also still preseason, these games mean fuck all. I seem to remember premier league teams losing to US teams in a developmental league some years back.

I would just rather someone stick to there word. If he comes in his first press conference and says I want players to play for me that want to run through brick walls for the club and the badge he then keeps selecting players in pre season that don't want to do that and have come out in public and stated that then he's clearly not staying true to his word.
