He didn't do anything today to decisively assert his status as number one. I'd be tempted to give him a run until the end of the season, but I just don't see him as being significantly better than Mig in any way.

Throwing the ball out at very least - Mig NEVER does it.

not stupid at all

was my opinion- end of.

"fact"

which one was this? Not the Wayne Bridge one towards the end surely?

amazing line of attack he chooses - 30-40 passbacks in a game is staggering, something the same players were frightened to do with Mignolet. Pass-backs and the resulting quality distribution were one of the silver linings of todays drab performance.

yes, obviously Bridges fault for such a f***ing stupid decision but i thought Gordon was slow in dealing with the Bolton player in closing him down...just my opinion like.

I thought he did brilliantly to save Bridge's arse. For a few seconds i thought the Bolton player was favourite to get there first and was quite surprised that Gordon beat him to it.

Ha ha Chris...well, first game back and that...maybe I should be more forgiving as it is his first game...but..over the time he has been here..this has been a weakness that hasn;t been addressed.

The amount of scrutiny that goes into a Craig Gordon performance is unparallelled. I wonder what would happen if you did the same for other goalkeepers.

Staggering.

as i say its just my opinion....i thought he looked slow in dealing with it and had to readjust to deal with it which he did well, would Mignolet have done the same...i fear not.
Mind you i have seen it once in the stadium and havent had the benefit of 100s of replays

It's incredible quite frankly. Astonishing. I bet there will not be single thing in the press about Gordon in relation to the goals conceded, yet on here he's getting blamed for both.

The commentator today said he was "powerless" to stop the first goal, yet there was already 5 or 6 posts on the match thread saying that he was shit.

Anar, least you're not behaving like the mongoloids.

ive already said in this thread that Gordon is the best goalkeeper at the club, personally i hope he signs a new deal.

although i do rate Mignolet aswell but he just doesnt have the experience of Gordon as well as Mignolet has done.

Apparently MON said he done well and was very commanding, that should be enough for some people.
