i was reading the wrong thread earlier and was confused how tao was leaving roglic for dust with three weeks to go...I keep forgetting who's riding which race...
Just watched the highlights. Super day to follow.
Thought Kelderman might ship 4-5 mins at o e point but he just about managed it to the end. Maybe Dennis went too hard too soon and left TGH on his own for slightly too long.
Must be a good chance of Kelderman getting sick or struggling in the next couple of days.
What odds were Hindley and TGH to win overall at the start!?!
TGH was matched at 339/1 on the betfair exchange
Hindley was matched at 509/1, neother were for huge money so probably half of those prices were what the bookies were offering.
Regarding Kelderman, on the hoghligjts they were saying he only lost 40 seconds combined on the climbs but a minute on the flat when Dennis was going all out for TGH, Wiggins wasnt haply with Hindley for not dropping back either saying he would have basically saved the Giro for Kelderman if he did as he probably wouldn't have dropped the minute on the flat.
I'm curious to know if Ganna was done or they played a blinder and said have a rest and we can use you on the other stage so not to burn out both the huge diesel engines, imagine Ganna and Dennis both pulling you along the valley yesterday , theyd have put 2 minutes into Keldermen within the 5km.
is Kelderman not leaving Sunweb ?
to be honest still probably did the best thing in Hindley following TGH.
While Ganna possibly climbing better than anyone thought possible, it’s highly unlikely he could have made it over the Stelvio with them. Putting two minutes into him on the flat is a stretch mind even with an engine like Ganna
Interesting how Saturday goes and then the TT
Kelderman better in a TT , but could be fucked by then. Hindley beat TGH in first TT when Tao never envisaged anything other than riding for a Thomas. Hart beat Hindley in second longer TT when he was leader with Thomas having left.
sets it up nicely

Yeah I may have been slightly to optimistic for the 2 minutes comment.
This race is brilliantly set up though, the fact its 3 guys who have never won and 2 that wouldnt have been in many peoples top 15 at the start means anything can happen and it's all guess work, if it was Thomas or Roglic wed be pretty sure of the result.
Bilboa doing the Tour/Giro this year has been an amazing ride aswell.
bit of a bugger if you've painted your house pink and you're standing by the roadside waiting.Todays race halved in distance, guess it will be starting later than it should have on the tv.
Going to Bora.is Kelderman not leaving Sunweb ?

Kelderman is in a big group mind. He looked like he was really struggling though. Tao doesn't look amazing, so don't think it's done yet.
Hindley is really in the box seat.
Has Hindley ever raced a TT properly? I know they were saying he lost over a minute to TGH in the last one but surely he didnt go 100%. Im just trying not to get to confident for TGH here, be an amazing comeback from Ineos if they can pull it off though.unless Tao has a bad last climb I’d rather be in his shoes for the TT, but with a TT after 3 weeks racing who knows.

suppose he was going for white jersey from the start and he did beat TGH in first TT which suggests we was all in.
Hindley does look good though
