Probably because his name in Georginio Wijnaldum and he introduced himself via the Club's media arm as "Gini" Wijnaldum...Mags have called him Gini since he signed for some strange reason, probably because they are strange
- If he goes this summer we should get a decent amount for him that we can reinvest,
- If he stays and strops we should still be able to flog him in January,
- If he stays and plays well we'll have a very good attacking midfielder working under a good coach and
- If he's still here by the time we're promoted (which I'm confident will happen this coming season) he's definitely good enough for the Premier League and we can keep him/sell him next summer
I can understand why some Sunderland fans are hungry to paint this as a disaster though.
