Gigs back at sol

Got a good feeling it's gonna be Muse, purely down to the big Sunderland connection.

If it's Rammstein though....OMFG!!!!!

How would the fellas dad being from Sunderland matter in the slightest? Do you really think Matt Bellamy is putting together the tour dates himself.

Why would I think that you clown? If you actually knew wtf you were talking about you'd know Matt has said before he'd love to play in Sunderland; he even joked about it when they were last up here at Newcastle arena.

 People are nuts man.
You're not wrong there, clearly.

Reading this thread I get the impression some people go to a gig at the SoL just because it's a gig at the ground of the team they support, and feel it nigh on compulsory to attend. Probably never went to see any live music prior to the gigs at the SoL
Maybe it's more of the "it's on the doorstep" for a lot of people. I went to Oasis, KOL and RHCP for that reason, and would have went to Coldplay and Jovi but was on holiday at the time - but I wouldn't have travelled to see any of them. I've seen loads of bands at the Metro Arena and O2 Academy for the same reason.

They're not my cup of tea at all, but well done if it comes off.
I'm sure there'll be plenty who are interested in it.

To be fair, we can't all have our favourite bands performing at the SoL at a time that suits us.

So, let's just be grateful we're heading back in the right direction, generating some desperately-needed cash for the club and seeing extra footfall in hotels, pubs, restaurants n that.

Whether you like the previous acts or not, we had some great momentum after staging Beyonce et al, and our profile in the music world (as a venue) must have been sky high.

So, chill the fuck out. From ABBA through to ZZ Top, it's better that they come to Sunderland than anywhere else!

Spot on son.

Nah that's just the impression I get, as you addressed in one of your posts, why would somebody be annoyed about a gig just because it's somebody they don't like, then others saying they have attended bon jovi. Nobody with ears likes Bon Jovi

Bon Jovi had three tours in six years ranked as the top-grossing, matching a record set by the .

Kind of suggests you are wrong.
