Getting promoted - do we actually want it?

It's crackers isn't it.

Even if we'd been gash after going up, you'd be mad not to want an incredible Wembley weekend and the PL riches.

Ipswich spent a load last year but it was mostly on the best Championship players, whereas we've invested in some of the best young talent from all over Europe.

Agreed, we aren't doing well because we spunked a load of money at the transfer market and grabbed whatever we could. The choices have been key. As has getting the team to gel together so quickly - other teams will be looking and trying to see how we managed that. Signing that many players in a single window should have caused massive problems with players not knowing each other and having to learn each others play. Those problems didn't happen and I don't think anyone outside the club itself has any clue why.

That's the only part I disagree with. Everyone knows the main reason that has happened and its very simple in my eyes.

Xhaka is a completely different type of Sunderland player than we are used to.

He looks a class act and you can see the ways referees act towards him.
