Geertruida

Shitting incase Liverpool start sniffing about now konates away my favourite thing he does is when he’s getting chased down by defender for the ball towards his own keeper then goes to pretend to pass it back and turns and they keep running :)
Yeah, i wouldn't be surprised if some of the champions league clubs weren't sniffing around Mukiele like.

Do you actually believe that? Find it really hard to believe given all the factors. Game time being left out the Dutch squad etc

I've absolutely no idea mate. Somebody said they'd heard he'd signed, then a few days later said it was down to the player.

I'm not expecting him to sign but would love it if he did.

When does transfer window open ? I guess if he has signed we won’t find out till then
Barcelona signing Claire Balding should help your thought process. To be fair, you can sign players at any point in the calendar year, you just can’t ‘register’ them to play for you outside of the transfer windows. For example, Tommy Watson was signed by Brighton after the end of the January window, so they included in the deal that he stayed as our registered player until the end of the season as he wouldn’t have been able to play for them.

will come down to money won't it (stating the obvious I know) - we will have a max wage we're prepared to go to for him, he will want to see if he can get an extra 30/40/50% elsewhere I reckon

hopeful he comes, think he might

Imo I don’t think it will come down to money. He’s an excellent player who will be looking for regular first team football somewhere to bolster his chances of adding to his international caps.

At pretty much anytime in my Sunderland supporting lifetime he’d be a shoe in here but unfortunately for him (not us) he’s incredibly not the best right back or centre back in the squad.

Having left Feyenoord and then Leipzig in search of a first team place I think he’ll reach the conclusion that he’ll need to move on again to nail down a first team shirt somewhere.

I’d love to keep him mind !

you may be correct, but it feels naive to me to discount the financial aspect of it all. Will play a big part in whatever happens imo

I think he’d the sort of quality player that will attract clubs willing to pay him well.
It wouldn’t surprise me to see him stay in the premier league.
I’m sure there’ll be clubs who would see him as a nailed on starter as fullback in this league.

He might find it better to stick somewhere rather than keep twisting. With how he’s finished the season and his experience in Europe, he’ll get plenty of games next season

he will back himself enough (and so he should) to pin down a regular spot after his performances over the last few games of the season...

pay him the right money and he will sign ;)
