I think it was the Liverpool stuff, we got him to stay but he lost some of the trust of Le Bris and he fell out of favour a bit because of it.

Which is mad really. As far as I’m aware we tried to facilitate it but we couldn’t get cover. I’m not sure how that’s our fault or RLB’s
 
Next seasons going to be unbearable isn't it? Any time we concede a goal from down our right everyone will be queuing up giving it the "if Gerty were still here" nonsense

I still have cold sweats thinking about how we turned away Yann Mvilla and ended up with that overpriced prick who couldn't be bothered to turn out for the lads (ndong).

I'm super wary of letting known quality go on the promise that we can get better - which isn't guaranteed.

That said were a much better ran outfit these days. I think Gerty is top class though.

Maybe both. But it's been obvious for a while given his Lack of starts when slots he'd normally play in have been available and then O'nien and Hume have started instead.

Around two weeks ago Regis even said: "But at the minute it's clear that we have three strong full-backs. And the competition is high. So it's hard to be the fourth in that situation at the end of his contract" when asked about Cirkin's contract.

So he wasn't counting Geertruida in that.
