Gas Boiler Flue

Have you had a second opinion from another engineer? I know a guy who’s good and decently priced if you live in Dundee?

If the boiler is a high efficiency model you should be able to buy a plume kit for it
That will solve the problem
300 mm to opening window reg has been around ages
Looks like it was installed incorrectly

Defiantly hasn’t been installed correctly. You can’t use a plume kit to obtain the required distance away from an openable window unless stated in the manufacturers instructions, you might get away with it though.

As above the regs been around for quite a while I believe. Classed as at risk by gas safe. Plume kit unfortunately won't solve it even though the exhaust of the flue will be more than 300mm the flue is still classed as within 300mm of the window. Only answer is to have the flue moved or the window sealed shut.

Worcester Bosch allow 150 mm to opening with plume kit as long as exhaust is over 300 mm
