And Jessica Ennis could not beat a male club athlete because to use your terminology (she was not good enough) yet got as much if not more praise than say Daly Thompson and probably made far more money? What's your actual point?
Other female sports women who are/were 'not good enough to compete at any level' would be people like Serena Williams, Emma Radacanu, Kelly Holmes, Nadi Comaneci and Simone Biles.
Seems to be something about women and football in particular that chauvanists don't like as most are happy to accept the top females in other sports and acknowledge their acheivements. I have never ever heard ANYONE use the fact that a female olympian was 'not good enough' because they could not beat the men.

Equality of opportunity is great. Everybody having the freedom and opportunities to do what they want in life can only benefit society as a whole. The issue is when you try to force equality of outcome i.e. you set aside a certain amount of jobs in an organisation for people from Group A even if there are people in Group B or C who are more qualified and will bring more value to the role. Selecting people based on irrelevant characteristics such as gender or race over skill or competence isn't good for anybody in the long term. It's been done before in Communist countries and turns to shit every time.
Ironically in more wealthy societies where the cultural differences between men and women are minimised and women have more opportunities to do what they want, women tend to choose more traditionally "feminine" jobs i.e. nursing. The reverse is often the case in countries where the opposite is true (less wealthy, more differences between men and women, less opportunities) - women are more often drawn to more traditionally male jobs such as engineering (Albania and Algeria have a greater percentage of women amongst their STEM graduates than Finland, Norway and Sweden for example). It's not because women in Albania and Algeria are more interested in engineering, it's because they have less of a safety net in those countries which makes a more highly paid STEM career more attractive. Women in Sweden can afford to do what they want and they're aren't choosing STEM careers at the same rate. Maybe we just need to accept that women and men are naturally interested in different things.

I don't get your point. You reel off a list of females who have excelled at their chosen sport, yet none of them beat a man to get where they did.
Female Olympians have only ever competed against other females, so what is your point.
Praising Jessica Ennis to the hilt and that she made more money than Thompson doesn't alter the fact that he would have wiped the floor with her in a one on one.

He’s bang on with what he’s saying. Not just in football people shouldn’t be held back from getting roles based upon anything other than their ability. The figures for anything other than White British males aren’t great reading.
