You cannot and won't stop me from getting excited ;)
Every change I hope is the dawning of a new era for this our wonderful football club.
You can be as negative as you like marra.
I always live in hope ;)

I'm not negative, i keep it real.......But like others we get called negative because we don't share the same positively deluded view from the likes of you.

At the risk of getting the thread back on track, I often find when a set of fans seem to have such a firm consensus of opinion on something that it generally isn't far from the truth. That's encouraging given the noises coming from those that know him at St Mirren. As alluded to though, the step up in size of club is pretty drastic. I suspect that dealing with that will be his biggest challenge. Grayson crumbled in a couple of months under the pressure.

Agree with the above.

Difference here though is Grayson was pretty much hung out to dry by Short. The new fella seems to have total backing from the new regime.

What is irn bru? It's mentioned all the time in Stuart McBride's books .
Ginger people's piss.

Lazy twat.

And sleep captain bitter zzzz...

I've always been the same re: managers. If you employ run of the mill type managers you generally get safe, run of the mill results. That's why I didn't want Allardyce for years but was eventually delighted he came because we badly needed some stability.

We unfortunately bucked the trend with Moyes the knacker. Grayson in hindsight was a poor choice because he was no good for the long term, which for us must be the top flight.

I'm impressed with the new owners choice. They are southern based but have got a relative unknown from North of the border. It shows they aren't run of the mill owners, they haven't gone for the safe bet. They are thinking outside the box.

It is a risk but one worth taking IMO. Ross has a decent pedigree and could grow with us and take us all the way to the premier league. He could fall flat on his face of course.

Brian Clough was a one off, non run of the mill manager. He got 2 smallish teams to be league Champions. He was brilliant but different from all other managers. With managers of a similar type and level the bigger spending club will always come out on top, generally see the league table. For smaller clubs to challenge the big boys you need to be different.

A carbonated soft drink from Scotland.
Every country in the world has Coca Cola or Pepsi cola as it’s biggest selling fizzy sugary drink except Scotland which has Irn bru.

That's true, having support and people pulling in one direction will give him a much greater chance of succeeding.

Plus, of course, you get to say, when it (inevitably) goes tits up, “I advised caution, but I got flamed on here”

So I'm deluded because I'm happy ellis short payed the debt off rather than us go into administration, sold the club to keen British businessmen who engage with the fans and want to (possibly) appoint a young intelligent manager ?

In the 3rd division.

Are you expecting mourinho or guardiola ?

You've now changed the goal posts and the thread and previous posts were based on the new incoming manager.

He needs that approach if he is to succeed here.

Ahead of its time some would say. Drop the vowel and misspell a word to save time on typing. Clever thinking or just a load of shite?

How so ?

Even if I don't like a managerial appointment
(Howard Wilkinson springs to mind)
I prefer to give the benefit of the doubt and get behind them from the start.

Like I said, you are entitled to your negative opinions, I like to stay positive, don't wet your knickers over it ;)
