By all accounts Franklin had a major input into team selection for the RL50 last season even from afar. Yesterday's result can be ignored given that there are Bedingham, Dickson and Jones to come in to strengthen the batting.I presume he put Killeen in charge in his absence. Why not Walker and Gidman? Bit of a snub after what they achieved last year.
What is obvious is there is a totally different body language between the players and coaches when Franklin isn't present. I've never heard Franklin say anything positive or constructive on how to improve performance. If a coach can't motivate players he's not doing his job.
Hence, FRANKLIN OUT.
