You were the one saying you have bled your last drop and were cheesed off with the freebies. You were drawing the distinction not me. I was saying it was ridiculous to do so.
Now you are saying you are skint and it has nothing to do with it. I think this marks the end of our morning flirt.[DOUBLEPOST=1386410881][/DOUBLEPOST]
Tickets (on a mass scale) below a certain level will not attract any more people, in fact if you make something so cheap everyone will buy them and then pick and choose their games meaning a sold out stadium with empty seats.
Our pricing policy is pretty good.

Well, these cheap tickets certainly appear to swell the crowd, so there is clearly some correlation.

Even though we are 'cheap' in comparison to other clubs, it doesn't hide the fact that the product is still expensive. The majority of non-renewals will be because they can't justify the cost as VFM. A set £15 per game would see 40k plus every game imo.

How do I know you aren't one poor fake photoshop?[DOUBLEPOST=1386412965][/DOUBLEPOST]

Quite right! Most on here are just narked coz I was able to get two free tickets for the Southampton game.
I don't believe you.
Prove it. And not with a fake photoshopped picture

Agree - sick of it mate. The irony is that some of the recipients will be moaning on about why Short isn't spending any money.

What is ironic about someone who is offered a free ticket having an opinion?

This is the UK, everybody has the right to free speech, unless of course they haven't bought a ticket for the match.

You should never look a gift horse in the mouth unless it offering you a free ticket for the match.

Do you really think the club just gives tickets to the University without getting something (i.e. cash) back in return? It will be part of an advertising deal. Why not squeeze a bit more money out of advertisers by letting their staff sit in a few otherwise empty (pink) seats?

I can understand season card holders' frustration when we give tickets away for free to the public but providing tickets to advertisers and other customers is just doing business?.

No such thing.

Lets remember that the desperation in handing out freebies to swell the gate is occuring in the Premierhip, the 'best league in the world'

So you can only imagine how many offers will be bandied about for Peterborough at home on a cold tuesday night.

One of the numerous reasons I willnot renew, after 30 years. That and the fact were f***ing clueless from top to bottom and are having the piss took out of us by clubs who must envy our core support.

I'm all for encouraging the next generation of supporters and rewarding those that deserve it (cheap family tickets, cheap student tickets, cheap oap tickets and free forces tickets), but if what I read on here is correct then I think the loyal full paying ST holders are increasingly having the piss taken out of them.

I knew the club did the odd few free tickets, but it seems far too prevalent these days.

Can I suggest that anyone that is offered a free ticket for a game please post details of it on here, including the source of the tickets, with evidence if possible.

I would like to basically compile evidence of all the giveaways in case I want to raise it with the club in the future at a liaison group meeting.

Why would you do that? You'd honestly try to stop people getting tickets to come along and watch a game?

You will be directly taking money from the cub by doing so. Secondary spend amounts to quite a total. The club need this to be as high as possible, so the bigger the gate, the more revenue. If you dont like it, dont renew your ticket, and dont have your regular seat reservation. Rely on teh free tickets every now and again.[DOUBLEPOST=1386498346][/DOUBLEPOST]
Meanwhile I just paid a £10 fine for forgetting to set my DD back up for the season ticket payment!!
So you didnt pay it by the time you were supposed to? Fair play to the club for only charging you £10. Should remember in future, eh?[DOUBLEPOST=1386498633][/DOUBLEPOST]
you won't get your voucher book if you do that though

fully agreed with randy. what help is it to me to get cheap tickets for other people with my ST? the people i'd get them for have ST's themselves. imo we should get some kind of subsidies for the following years ST or something like a rebate on matches we over paid for. £525 for my ST in U6 and the man u game was surrounded by kids on freebies:evil:

Outstanding. Complaining about kids getting on for nowt.

they weren't there by themselves. the adults went free too.

How would kids go otherwise? School kids getting in for free has happened for years, my first game was this way. Honestly, so people man. Trying to stop bairns come in for free, that would probably not come otherwise. The club still make money from them.

Nope, I just think you are a patronising wanker. This is entirely your fault.

Everything always is. Especially when you're the kind of person that grunts "oh fuck off" to posts they disagree with. I feel sorry for your kids. No wonder you forget your ticket deadlines, no intelligence. And then complain that they dare charge you for it. Amazing.

Does your lass leave post it notes around the house for you?

Of course, that'd involve social interaction with real, other people, and dialogue that extends past "fuck offs."

The world suddenly seems a better place. I was genuinely concerned.

Your turn...

No need. You wanted moral highground after my initial post, then showed you were unable to take it. Always happens with your type.

we've just been in the club shop to get a few bits and bobs for folk for christmas. we didn't know about the free ticket offer if you spend over £50. just been to give them to the missus' dad and brother who are both over the moon. a nice gesture by the club imo. made 2 people very happy.

What are you even going on about now? You complained about the club for fining you £10 for 'forgetting about the date,' I pointed out that there really was no complaint to be made. Its business. You retort with obscenities, yet again. Always happens with your type. I should have known. Illiterate, as well as anti social. Just a shame to be honest. Take some responsibility Bristow. It's your life. You're a big boy.

If you read more , you will see that I said it was entirely my fault, I even bolded it.

The club is indeed a business, one that takes money off some and gives out freebies to others. Sadly I am not perfect like you appear to be.

Then you wont mind me pointing it out then. In line with any business, what one customer pays has nowt to do with you. You agree to pay your price, that you feel is fair. Wanting to end occassional free tickets to kids and students is selfish. Giving those free tickets away makes money for the club.

Why dont you just not renew your ticket next year, and get all of these free tickets?
