Freddie Flintoff announced as Superchargers Head Coach

Looks like he's getting fast tracked with jobs for the boys

Some of the teams in The Hundred have had more head coaches in five seasons than most counties have had this millennium.

Quite amazing how he has gone from presenting Top Gear and dicking about on a stupid Sky panel show, to a high level coaching job with the national side. It is almost as if having friends in high places can help you get fast-tracked up the ladder.

....and after getting a massive pay out of millions from the BBC for allegedly "not being able to work again because of a few cuts on his face" he is getting one job after another.

He says he's not doing it for the money, but has left cos hes not getting ermm paid enough

I read it that it was a matter of principle as they offered him just 25% of what the other coaches were earning. Let's see who they replace him with and on what salary

Vittori is the rumour,

Now ive been a pretty big supporter of the hundred, but i think next year is a massive risk, youve now had 5 seasons getting these kids into the game, my own included, so they attach to a team, weve bought purple superchargers tops, weve been to headingley a few times for games, and really held on to the fact that "Northern" in superchargers included Durham, in 2024 there was loads of Durham lads in the team, more than Yorkshire..

However to change it up and call them sunrisers Leeds and play in Orange just scraps any identity you'd created, i get it for new leagues like the MLC and SA20 using the indian owners names but not for existing teams, i know its only been 5 years but come on

I hadn't seen that and if true its shocking and will alienate everyone not from Leeds. The original idea was it was supposed to be regional yet Warks and Worcs comprising the West Midlands franchise elected to call themselves Birmingham Phoenix thus alienating all Worcestershire supporters

Vettori to Leeds as he’s already in with the rest of their franchise sides. By all accounts Fred is making his way to Trent Rockets instead.
