Frank Lampard

Haway Frank hasn't done that bad
It’s all relative. Lampard took over a Derby side that finished in the play offs last season and were expected to do so again this season. He’s managed to scrape into the play offs again. Ross took over a side in turmoil with a massive rebuild needed. Both still have a good chance of achieving their ultimate aim. One is getting praise and one is getting slated.

Derby have been master of failures for a good 5 or 6 years now.

Decent investment, high-profile managers - and seem to bottle it at the play-off stage every single year.

Great finish for his first season in management, good learning curve at least. Perhaps getting them promoted to the Premier League and seeing how he can cope will be the big test, however the bigger test would be seeing if Derby fail to go up and then build upon it next season.

First season as a manager in English football. Only 40 years old, has guided Derby to the play offs and is being given huge praise for his achievement. Considering that Derby have finished around the same position for the last few years has he underachieved?
Can he recruit and move Derby forward? Terry & Villa also needs to be mentioned

I suppose you could apply that to most managers mate. I would imagine that he'll want money to spend. I'd be interested to hear if Derby fans feel he's worth another crack regardless of what happens in the play offs.

This..Good luck to the lad, he could have sat on his arse in a TV studio like some others and preached about how other managers are doing it wrong..
Still time for that, but he seems like a bit of a committed type. There's quite a few who had a go then caved in straight away and went to sit on a sofa in a TV studio. Lawrenson, Mary Poppins, Neville...

Apart from he’s in a much harder league with much better quality as opposition , don’t see how u can compare the 2 tbh
It’s all relative to expectations. Lampard didn’t have to contend with the overhaul Ross did. He hasn’t improved Derby whatsoever this season.
