Frank Lampard - manager rumours

His managerial career is not as good as his playing one, but not as awful as some make out.
I cannot see him coming if he has to work with/under the 3 stooges and austerity model.
He will want a budget for players he wants in. His contract will probably be a long one and have clauses about a budget and transfer actions... so is any of that likely?

I’ve maintained all along that it’s very unlikely but I’d prefer Lampard to the likes of Still personally

Got Chelsea to 4th place in the premier league and an FA cup final. Do that for us and he’d get a statue built.
That’s hardly success for Chelsea though. Just going off what all the Everton fans are saying about him.

It’s very difficult to equate his past success or failures elsewhere to how he’s fate here.

As unlikely as his appointment still seems to me I’d welcome it personally.

I think he could have a similar impact that Keane had albeit without the histrionics and drama. Remember Keane is a hero here for what he achieved in this division yet bombed completely at Ipswich.

True mate to be fair his record at Derby was decent and that’s the league he would be competing in if he came.

I am in no way decrying Frank's ability as a coach, but what the hell does he want to be coming to Sunderland for?
Serious question, can you imagine Christine Bleakley and the little Lampards uprooting to move to a nice house in Whitburn (him a London lad and her a TV personality).
Best case scenario we get a part time manager for a few days a week, who does not want to be here other than he needs a regular pay day until he is sacked (David Moyes springs to mind).
Would love a good coach who is committed to the cause, I don't know about the good coach bit, but I really don't see the rest. Hope I am wrong and that if it is him , he falls in love with the area, Christine takes over from Dawnie on Look North and we have a happy promotion ending. Do fairytale's happen in real life ?, be nice if they did.
