Definitely, I was a teenager in the 'Golden Era' of boxing. Ali, Forman, Frazier etc, watching the boxing nowadays is embarrassing

Seen him regularly at Sunderland games over the years. Heard him interviewed on talksport way back and he was talking about his fondness of Sunderland, I can't recall how he started supporting us, it was a friend or family member that took him to his first Sunderland game and from then on he was hooked (pun intended).

A mate of his called "Wally" from Washy (Harraton to be specific) used to spar with him and was a boxer of sorts.Met him a few times,chinned "The Hat" who was a known nutter from Concord. TLR used to always call him the Hat btw
