Fourth favourites for relegation

I'm pleased, that'll mean the odds not to be relegated will be generous.

I can't seem to find a way to lump on a 'Sunderland to stay up' bet, only the relegation ones. Despite all this 'Europe' and '2nd season' stuff, I'd be supremely confident that we won't go down.

Added to that, anything positive about us has been the kiss of death.

I feel like we’ve ended the season as an even bigger surprise than when we started it. We snap out of a poor run of games like it never happened. We’ve ended flying as far as the difference in attacking and scoring goals goes.

Roll on next season.

Well it is fair to say we over performed expectations this season. And second season syndrome is often a safe bet before transfers have happened. Much like last season, the supercomputer is going to have very wide spreads on where many teams could finish from 6th to 17th.

Not unreasonable to predict the teams who finished below us to improve and have a better season next season. And since we over performed expectations, not unreasonable to predict just matching this season would be good. So we likely need to get better and improve just to stay still.

Had a look on oddschecker .... Sunderland 9-4 fourth favourites to go down .... only 3 promoted teams shorter odds ... and Mags 40 -1 ..... really ???? ...... insulting that !! ... yes European fixtures to cope with but thats a joke.
