Founders bar

I’m all for that, but I wouldn’t be if I’d paid £60. Do you remember how shit the Sports bar was after the match when it was a free for all.
“if space allows” doing a lot of heavy lifting there.
I don't remember that. I remember it being open on non match days.

I went tonight. Complementary drinks on offer, which was probably to be expected, but nevertheless nice.

In terms of the decor, some would say it’s austere, but I actually think it’s quite understated and classy. Each to their own. It’s clearly trying to give a Victorian feel, which again won’t be to everyone’s taste.

I don’t really bother with food on a matchday, so not too arsed about having to go to the concourse for that, but there are lots of seats and lots of screens. Conversely, in some parts of the BCB (far end), the amount of screens diminish.

If you want a cappuccino or a latte or whatever, I noticed they had a machine for those (not the bog standard instant stuff you generally get).

Toilets on concourse but have been tarted up.

I chose a seat in U21, a couple of rows from the back.

The same seat without the Founders offer is £580. When you add on the complementary matchday programme, which I would otherwise buy, it’s £328 the difference. In the championship, that equates to around £14 a game for bar access.

Is it worth it? For me, next season, yeah. A pint in a glass, fully stocked bar, a bit of comfort and warmth, somewhere to kill a bit of time post match. If it’s a let down, I’ll shift the following year.
Daft question but as lower bowl was more or less sold out, are they displacing existing seat holders to fit in founders bar ones?

Maybe its just the corners im thinking of as more or less sold out.

Edit: checked n theres barely any empty seats currently!

It seems like they are expecting us to move to P7/P8 in PC and then have to walk all the down to Founders at half time then all the way back up again, I can’t see many taking that option up, lot of older people in BCB who simply wouldn’t be mobile enough to do that.

Rediculous 😂 prob gives you about 3 minutes to neck a pint then head back up.

Hetty has put a screenshot of seats avsilable in bowl on st thread. Barely any spare, mental. I thought the plsn was to house these folk around the tunnel.

As usual with most things the club do these days, they simply haven’t thought this through properly.

Yeah agree with this. Although if your normal seat was in the East stand that would be a bit of hassle to get over before the kick off.
It would, but if we were sold out every week it would be a case of “take it or leave it”. Plenty would take it.

Seems we want to have a warm room, food/drink and nice toilets yards away from our seat. Sounds a bit like staying at home with Frankie and Danny 😂

Just saw this from someone who's been down to look around today

"Just been invited to founders as we are black cats season ticket holders . The seats in the ground are scattered all over , if you agree to premier concourse you need to go outside (where old club shop was ) down the steps where fans wait for players ) across car park to a turnstile into premier concourse. Half time going out of ground to get back to founders. You also have to Order food and collect from concourse , and toilets are on concourse . So all the Extra money you're paying (£1200) is to have a drink in founders bar 🤷‍♀️"

How much of that is true I don't know, but sounds a lot of money to have a drink in a bar, and potential seat low down in the west stand when there could be bad weather?
That's pretty much it tbh, was there last night

It would be a lot simpler if they just sold it as an add on to your SC. Sit in your normal seat.
I'm hoping they'll continue to offer that as a match by match thing, like they are for the last 4 home games of the season. Obviously that'll depend on season ticket takeup in there.

Me and my mate go with our bairns every game so it's not worth it for us at the minute, the kids won't want to go that early and sit in a bar so it's a huge cost rise (taking into account the kids tickets) for no benefit. But we don't normally take them midweek and we think we'd be interested in upgrading for some of the midweek games. Open 3 hours before the match and 1 hour after for midweek games. So finish work, get changed, straight down the ground, prematch pints and a catchup, drink until near kick off, then easy to get a couple drinks afterwards as well. Sounds mint tbh. £30 extra every game isn't worth it just for bar access imo, but I think it'll be a very popular offering if it's available as an add on

Have the confirmed which block in the west stand it will be, is it L22?
They are opening 2 blocks in pc but if you want to be in lower bowl you just have to find a spare seat, this is the bit i find ridiculous.
They could allocate an area and still keep a lot of existing sc holders pretty much where they are.
Just lots of random seats, group of 6 I know last night can't sit together in lowet bowl near founders even if they pay a grand

Agree.
That would definitely make weekday games more attractive for me. 👍🏼

that’s unfortunate, but can you imagine the stories we would hear about people who have had the same seat since the stadium opened, who got told tough you have to move because this block is all going to be for the founders tickets holders now?

In an ideal world there would be some extra block of premium seats somewhere that would be available to founders members without disrupting anyone else but it’s just not possible

Exclusive external entrance
Host greeting on arrival
Prime seating in the West stand
Suite opens 3 hours pre kick off, half time and up to 3 hours post match (one hour post-match for evening kick offs)
Exclusive access pre-game and half-time and guaranteed post-game access
Purchase menu available to order
Match Programme
Live music pre and post match

£60 adults
£30.u16
£30 adult upgrade
Live music is a crap idea imo. Just let people sit and chat. That's why most go to the game (other than football of course).

Do you scan your ticket to get in at half time? Or can anyone just wander in?
You have to have a wristband, which will be checked on the door by a steward. Like the BCB, after a while the stewards know the regulars and check those that they don’t recognise.

Did they say what the plans are post match mate? Are they still letting a small number of non founder members in?

Sorry, catching up.... so if i was to try this out for a game this season where do i sit????

Just tried booking tickets and it just says West stand.

Agree. If they've got a big screen in there would be better if they put old matches on in the background, either classics or retro ones against that game's opposition e.g. next week's Millwall game replay the 6-0 hammering we gave them in full.
