Forthcoming gigs.

Is that the original members of Yes (or the ones still alive) or the current version (in which case my first question to each would be 'Who are you?)?
Steve Howe - who joined in 1971 for The Yes album and has been on the bulk of YES albums other that the Trevor Rabin era.
Geoff Downes - was with them in 1980 for Drama with Trevor Horn and has been back for over 15 years (he is also an ever present member of Asia since 1981)
Billy Sherwood has been around them since the 1980`s as producer, guest musician and was brought in by Chris Squire to replace him when he became ill.
Jay Schellen toured with Yes alongside Alan White and filled in when White was unable to play a full show. White also recommended him as his replacement
Jon Davison on lead vocals has been with them now almost 14 years.

Jon Anderson tours with his own band as does Rick Wakeman, both playing YES material.

David Birchall & SA Malley in Newcaatle tonight. First time I'll have visited Summerhill Bowling Club.
Was also tempted by the Archive Folk night at Pop Recs tonight, but I saw that has sold out.

Mick is there any chance of Asia doing anything uk wise. I know there are not many of them left

Seeing a band Park drive at the Zerxo in Newcastle in July. They're very Oasis lite but can't go wrong tenner a ticket

They have played a London date. I think they may well do more after Yes have toured. If I`d had 5 more mins I would have asked Geoff Downes that but I had a lot to ask about the new album. I`m writing their press release so need to talk to each member to get their perspective. I`d love to see Asia again - saw them 2 or 3 times with the original 4 and a couple of times with the John Payne version.

The first two albums were so good

Booked to see Jon Anderson in October. To be honest, my love of the band ended with Close To The Edge so I only really want to hear the songs from those first few albums (plus their version of Simon & Garfunkel's America which is probably my favourite thing they ever did!) and I only want to hear them sung by Jon Anderson - wouldn't care that much if he sang them to backing tapes but the Band Geeks seem top notch. Would be happy if Steve Howe joined them, mind, rather than touring with the current version.

I will have a listen to the new album, though, once I've read your press release!

Kossoff tribute tonight in Sedgefield - absolutely class gig, Terry Slesser still got some pipes on him, top night packed out

Gene at Barrowlands really good, great venue that. Sad to see the scruffy bar next door where we were made so welcome last time we were there has become a gastro pub like .

Funny place Glasgow, loads of posh looking bars and restaurants full of beautiful people and neds lying in the road outside
