Forthcoming gigs.

Did anyone go to utah saints? Would love to hear a bit about it
I didn't go but there was a little bit chat in the Pop Recs thread about it.

It was Alex Spencer last night in Liverpool and I had a brief chat with him when we were both outside the venue before he took to the stage. He was having some publicity photos done and I was trying to switch off the central heating at home. He seems a smashing lad.
Back to Liverpool tomorrow night for The Lilacs.

Pete Shoulder on Sunday at the Common Room in Newcastle
I'm there tonight for a night called Serious Music for Silly Folk.
Only £10 for Horse Loom/SA Malley, the Jasmine Padgett Family Band, Adam Soper and Tobias Sarra.
Always worth keeping an eye on what's on there.

The venue looks lovely. I`ve not been before so I`m looking forward to it

Presumably the same Adam Soper who is involved with this at Pop Recs on Friday?

Bootleg Beatles and a top Stones tribute doing keel Square August Bank Holiday. Not sure if it's free ? Hard to charge in an outdoor space like that.
They've boxed it off and charged people to enter plenty times already which is absolutely shite and spoils a lovely space and must be crap for the businesses and anyone who wants to sit outside there.

It is an unusual room for a gig. Wasnt so keen on it when it close to full for a standing gig as was hard to see much unless you stood at the front. Sometimes they use the lecture theatre downstairs and that's also a nice room too.

Got along to the Ship Isis last night. First headline gig for spacecadetbloom, local noisy shoegaze act. Was impressed, will keep an eye on their progress. House Proud in support were fun as well. All in all, a good night out.

So the venues are then in the busy area ?
Surely a busy event is better than the square on a normal day ?
