Forgot about this booked the blues brothers at firestationI've got Depeche Mode tribute band 'The Devout' at Newcastle University this Friday
Seen them a few times before and they are very good at what they do.
Set is usually around 2 hours 40 minutes, with all the old classics included
I’m at the Futureheads, but that sounds like a bargain. £41.95 on the site itself. Looks like only the balcony left too.Is it worth going to see Dave Hill's Slade? It's cropped up on SFF for £7.95.
I was at Babyshambles last week and they, like Slade, only put the front and side balconies on sale.I’m at the Futureheads, but that sounds like a bargain. £41.95 on the site itself. Looks like only the balcony left too.
We're off to the Co-Op in April to see James. Are the acoustics good? I'm not a massive fan of arenasWent to Jamiroquai at the Co-Op arena on sat.
Band we're very good, although they seemed intent on making 4-5 min songs twice as long. Gig lasted 2hr30 ish but could have been less without the fill.
Arena itself is very impressive but it's a ballache to get to and from.
Drink prices are an absolute pisstake and you're queing for ages, probably up there with some of the highest I've come across in the country for a gig.
Sound was excellent on the floor, we were standing. We're off to the Co-Op in April to see James. Are the acoustics good? I'm not a massive fan of arenas
Thankfully our hotel is only a 20 minute walk away

People who’ve been reckon it’s a great venue like. Suppose it’s purpose built, which is a start. We're off to the Co-Op in April to see James. Are the acoustics good? I'm not a massive fan of arenas

Co-op and Leeds arenas are head and shoulders above 'ice hockey sheds' that we've been used to. Both very different but both very good. We're off to the Co-Op in April to see James. Are the acoustics good? I'm not a massive fan of arenas.
It’s a purpose built arena and it’s brilliant as are James. I’m seeing them in Birmingham and Leeds. We're off to the Co-Op in April to see James. Are the acoustics good? I'm not a massive fan of arenas

Enjoyed it but I I felt Madness were a bit 'perfunctory'! Hit after hit but missing something, cant quite put my finger on it.. Sound wasn't great either. Squeeze always top notch.Good fun gig with Madness last night at the Utilita Arena with Squeeze in support. A LOT of hits played all night.
Madness should of packed in a while ago saw them twice at academy they were great then saw them years ago at Arena and they were shite then so never been back.Enjoyed it but I I felt Madness were a bit 'perfunctory'! Hit after hit but missing something, cant quite put my finger on it.. Sound wasn't great either. Squeeze always top notch.
I think I know what you mean. One Step Beyond sounded unusually slowEnjoyed it but I I felt Madness were a bit 'perfunctory'! Hit after hit but missing something, cant quite put my finger on it.. Sound wasn't great either. Squeeze always top notch.
I'm rather pissed off that Costello isn't playing anywhere in the North West.Elvis Costello at city Hall in July will wait to see price of tickets mind.
