I remember when Springsteen played on The River tour about 1981, was £6 or something, couldnt afford it as I only got £4 paper round money, roll forward 40 odd years and im paying £100

Bought tickets for 3 gigs in the last week - £277!!

Neil Young/Elvis in Glasgow (£104), Emmylou at the Empire (£86) and Jason Isbell. at the Glasshouse (£87).

Daft, but what else can we do?!? Man's gotta gig.

I’m hoping that Elvis may announce some headline gigs when he is over here for the support slots with Young.

Beaux Gris Gris great entertainment and great fun tonight. On stage for nearly 2 and a half hours. A very good band who hopefully will only get bigger and better.

After a bit of a gig famine I've got Ian Prowse In Liverpool this weekend, Madness/Squeeze next week in Newcastle, Shack in Sheffield after the Derby then Trevor Horn in Newcastle the week after!

It took you 40 years of delivering papers to buy a Springsteen ticket

Hoping to Madness and Trevor Horn but first, Sabaton:cool:.

Gig prices are daft now mind. My first ever gig was The Jam in 1982 they were £5 a ticket🤣
Quo, 1976 City Hall £2.50, 6 rows from front. Magic
Once upon a time a tour was a loss leader to promote an album with T-shirts to subside the loss now its tours and merch which is the only way bands make money
Bit in the future but Faithless, Razorlight and Proclaimers for Lindisfarne in September
Is that a fact ? 🤔
