Forthcoming gigs.

Got tickets for Gurriers at the Cluny in April next year - @Longy you going?

Also trying to get tickets for Kneecap at Digital in Newcastle in December. Pre-sale at 10am
I’m not sure about the Gurriers with it being a Tuesday, but definitely worth seeing.

Kneecap, I’m gutted. We’ve already got something on that night. They’re definitely on my list.

The Skints or Riskee?
Sorry, Skints mate.

Saw Evan Dando from The Lemonheads at Newcastle Riverside tonight, bit shambling at times but great at others 👍

Was tempted by this, but didn't bother. Was there a good turn out?
Saw him last year, was mostly a car crash, but then there was moments of brilliance!
Hope he is OK, but was worrying to see him perform a cover of ' I want you back' just on the drums, without a microphone.

Mimi Parker Low Tribute Night in aid of Ovarian Cancer Action at the Star and Shadow Cinema in Newcastle on Sunday 3rd November. Please share.

It's alright :D

They said the other night that they'd be touring next year, and as brilliant as this tour was, it wouldn't have been a good first time to see them.

Bit more niche?

With Stone Valley just being announced, that could be a good band for there.
Yeah, it was all unplugged, stripped back, harmonies in place of guitars, and as one of them put it "We wanted to do a tour where we didn't just do Rub a dub, ratatatat, culture vulture, this town and all of that - if you want that, come see us next year". It was really beautiful and special and all that, but it was one for the die hards - you'd want your first time to be Rub a Dub, Ratatat into "No, No No", Culture Vulture and all of that, tbh.

I've got two tickets for the Futureheads at the Fire Station for sale on 21st Dec 2024. Can't make it because of a family 21st birthday.

I've put them up on Twickets for face value if anyone is interested.

Interesting article quoted here that was written for The Telegraph.
Evan Dando, can’t help but think he’s a bit of a wasted talent.

Seen him with the lemonheads a few years back, shambling in parts genius in others.

The baby I’m bored album is one of my all time favourites. His voice on that album is gorgeous.

Yeah it was fairly busy, not sold out though. Did you go to the Cluny a few years ago when they did all of the "It's a Shame About Ray" album? Really loved that concert, this was a long way from that, still good though.

He did a fair few cover versions and seemed to put more effort into these than his own stuff which was a bit frustrating, his voice still sounded great though 👍

Think he must still love/can't get off the gear, he seemed in pretty good spirits though!
