I’m not sure about the Gurriers with it being a Tuesday, but definitely worth seeing.Got tickets for Gurriers at the Cluny in April next year - @Longy you going?
Also trying to get tickets for Kneecap at Digital in Newcastle in December. Pre-sale at 10am
Sorry, Skints mate. The Skints or Riskee?
Seen him a few times over the years but last night has got to be the most enjoyableThoroughly enjoyed Nick Heyward last night at the Firestation. What a lovely bloke! Showed lots of love for the Firestation and Sunderland.
Saw Evan Dando from The Lemonheads at Newcastle Riverside tonight, bit shambling at times but great at others![]()
It's alrightI’m not sure about the Gurriers with it being a Tuesday, but definitely worth seeing.
Kneecap, I’m gutted. We’ve already got something on that night. They’re definitely on my list.
Sorry, Skints mate.
Bit more niche?It's alright
They said the other night that they'd be touring next year, and as brilliant as this tour was, it wouldn't have been a good first time to see them.
Yeah, it was all unplugged, stripped back, harmonies in place of guitars, and as one of them put it "We wanted to do a tour where we didn't just do Rub a dub, ratatatat, culture vulture, this town and all of that - if you want that, come see us next year". It was really beautiful and special and all that, but it was one for the die hards - you'd want your first time to be Rub a Dub, Ratatat into "No, No No", Culture Vulture and all of that, tbh.Bit more niche?
With Stone Valley just being announced, that could be a good band for there.
I would agree. Some good deep cuts and lots of genuine laughs. Probably my favourite of the year so far.Seen him a few times over the years but last night has got to be the most enjoyable
You weren't the one that shouted "soft southern shite" at him then ?Thoroughly enjoyed Nick Heyward last night at the Firestation. What a lovely bloke! Showed lots of love for the Firestation and Sunderland.
No not me. I just sit and take it in. Unlike a couple of sad mags in the crowd. just dont get it..You weren't the one that shouted "soft southern shite" at him then ?
Interesting article quoted here that was written for The Telegraph.Hope he is OK, but was worrying to see him perform a cover of ' I want you back' just on the drums, without a microphone.
Evan Dando, can’t help but think he’s a bit of a wasted talent.Interesting article quoted here that was written for The Telegraph.

Yeah it was fairly busy, not sold out though. Did you go to the Cluny a few years ago when they did all of the "It's a Shame About Ray" album? Really loved that concert, this was a long way from that, still good though. Was tempted by this, but didn't bother. Was there a good turn out?
Saw him last year, was mostly a car crash, but then there was moments of brilliance!
Hope he is OK, but was worrying to see him perform a cover of ' I want you back' just on the drums, without a microphone.
