Forthcoming gigs.

off down to london next weekend for this, reviews have been good so really looking forward to saturday night!

will attempt to get tickets for Manchester, bairn is desperate to go & i'm not gambling on waiting for more dates...
Mate this was the 5th time i’ve seen them and arguably they’re the best band they’ve been now and are putting on the biggest and best shows !

Josh and his double bass drum adds another level of size and depth to the sound of the band

Taylors passing adds another connection between Dave and the audience when he gets emotional and overwhelmed which happens a few times a show at the minute !

I’m off to the London Stadium on Saturday with Mrs M and the bairn, wasn’t 100% sure whether to take her as she’s only 12 but she was adamant she wanted to go. Can’t wait.

Back from Glasgow from the Foo fighters gig, cracking show as expected, really do go all in will say the state of the plan to get people from Hampden to the city centre was shocking it made the metro look mint, huge queues for trains & Buses

Been there only once before, and we just walked back to the centre where we’d parked the car…
Probably would have been quicker took fecking ages waiting for a train and they were sending them off with nee fecker on them, wife probably would have moaned for the duration 😂
Off to cardiff next week for the Foo fighters again

Christ he couldn’t sing in 1982 so good luck with that. Cracking first 2 albums though ‘Indiaaaaa - I’m American hahaha’ one of the best intros ever IMHO
Surprised tbh. Seen them several times over the years since the mid 80s, as recently as last summer, and they've always been great (including Butler's vocals)

Aye it's class, ive been loads of times, sat everywhere, and stood at front and back, great sound and atmosphere, never been to a bad gig yet, toilets and bar can get a bit busy, quicker to go next door in engine room and ask for plastic glass.
Aye, if I was going to have one complaint, the toilets are a bit of a trek, but lots of venues are similar & the bar could be more efficient/quicker. I think the bar’s geared up for theatre/comedy/sitty down type gigs rather than the full on standing ones, which I’m guessing won’t form a huge part of the calendar. For every Damned or PiL where crowds are drinkers, you’ll have 4/5/6 all seated calmer shows.

Can't see it mentioned, but Goat Girl has been moved from the Boiler Shop to the Lubber Fiend. 1000 capacity down to about 150

Probably for the best, can't imagine it sounding great in that big warehouse.

Never heard of the Lubber Fiend before. Where’d the name come from?!

Had to Google it, turns out folklore! The lubberkin is typically described as a large, hairy man with a tail who performs housework in exchange for a saucer of milk and a place in front of the fire

It's a decent little DIY venue (smaller than Cobolt - same sort of vibe), right next to Alphabetti Theatre - really surprised that Goat Girl didn't sell more tickets.
